It must be a random roll at the 24 hour mark.  I ate a piece of wolf meat at hunters cabin, went outside and did my thing all day and hung out in the cave nearby near the end of the day.  at the 24 hour mark, I got IP, with only a 1% chance.  I immediately quit the game on console and reloaded to see if I would get it since I did not go inside or create an "autosave" .  Well, the first reload, I did not get IP and promptly saved my game by sleeping in the cave.  I count myself lucky.  IP is just ridiculous in interloper and can ruin a good run with its insane duration of effects.  10 days maybe, but 20??

Welcome to the forums!  Sounds like you just got REALLY unlucky with the 1%.  Just goes to show, you are taking a risk by eating that meat.

  2. You'll find many posts on challenges people come up with.  Personally, I don't start a game with this in mind, but instead have goals along the way.

I did try a challenge one time I like to call "Naturalist" - Can only eat non-manmade food, wear crafted clothing and use crafted tools.  Ofc, there are some exceptions (e.g. fire starting).

  3. The only reason I could think why subtitles would be censored and audio not is:  perhaps HL is considering people who play TLD on consoles or project their PC to their TV, wear headphones, but have kids around who can see the language but not hear it?

  4. I made a post some time ago on Frontier cooking recipes.  It seems the most common reason FOR making the items was the weight reduction of the finished product.

As for socks n' hoodies cloth - I'm guessing it's just a gameplay balance decision.

Now if only I could build a tiny log cabin to stay in while hunting and fishing.  If it had a small stove to cook and keep warm and dry that would work pretty well.

Wouldn't that be a great enhancement?!

Wintermute will likely be finished in early 2025(at least the patched and less buggy version).

For the record, this is from the Dec Dev Diary:

I agree we need more Pleasant Valleys and Mystery Lakes with cozy cabins to settle and nice places to hunt, because all my runs are from Mystery Lake Camp Office as best main base and it slowly becomes boring. I like to have nice place to call home waiting for me and I would like some new.
But I like new mechanics and places. I'm more annoyed by Forsaken Airfield where it's hard to go for quick hunt without being completely lost in fog. I once spent ingame month sitting in island cabin and hunting on rabbits, waiting for weather to get out of airfield, because any day without glimmer fog was blizzard. Contamination zone is hard, but manmade hideouts make it pretty fun. And hunting is less important when you have as much canned food as in Milton.

A whole MONTH without sunshine??  Wow, worst case of RNG I've ever heard of!

I am aware that alot of Tea and Herbal tea interact with schizophrenia treatments. Has anyone found a Tea that could likely not interact, that's okey for consumption?

It sounds like you are asking a real-life question on this game's thread?  I'm not one to give medical advice.

I never read forum rules. As to "underage" people and swearing I do not hide language from them. I don't like reinforcing that words are bad or that their bodies are disgusting and they should be ashamed. This is too off topic though and I am bringing new stuff up so this will be my last post on this subject.

You can certainly say whatever you want on here, just be prepared for the consequences of your actions.

  10. @Leeanda, don't forget about the ammo box caches in HRV.  Also, Transponder Caches.

Before DLC, good ol' "bunker" would do for prepper caches.  Now that long-standing tradition has been shattered by Tales.

Sure, I usually never have all the ingredients, a skillet/pot, AND the hammer all at once. If I have the hammer, I'm missing something else or vice versa.

Just an idea:  you could still collect acorns, and when you do have access to a hammer, crack them then.  This is what I do.
