Yeah, a push for the summit is always an adrenaline packed adventure, especially when spawning right into TMW day 1 and all. Just curious on how high up you gotta be to say "I'm going for it!" I just started a new Stalker run in TMW and spawned just before the log bridge on the way to Deer Clearing during the late night/early morning and debated doing just that. As the weather was looking uncooperative, I choose to battle my way back to the Mountaineer's Hut instead. I did finally make it up there, but not for some time after. If I recall, there was a sleeping bag in summit cave next to the sitting corpse. If memory serves, this bag spawns here all the time. cant say if that's true on Interloper as I typically dont play that difficulty.

Me too! Goating down is just so much more practical when you want to maximize the loot from the summit. Curious though, which "route" is the least dangerous and or most expeditious? I like to descend from just right of the tail looking down towards Crystal Lake. Then I typically veer to the right and end up coming down into the little meadow basically overlooking the fishing shack. At best a few sprains and bruises and mostly avoid all the wildlife except maybe an odd wolf or two, but they are easily dispatched from above using the bow.

given that it does happen so often there should be either a death or injury by accidental self inflicted gunshot wound, right?

I dont know what it was, maybe it was a combo of things... I just made a new bow and crafted 15 new arrows. Got Cabin Fever, soon as I was on the dock, he turned the corner. My first shot just dropped him?!? HA HA HA HA usually never happens to me... so I took another shot and got blood spatter effect... I took all those arrow shots getting a couple of in focus blood spatter pics! It was pretty fun! btw, that meat was so tender when I made fresh bear kabobs later that night for dinner
