This is probably the best screenshot I've ever taken (its even my laptop bg). The views of the Aurora from Desolation Point are just magnificent! TLD really captures the beauty of the northern lights, and is mostly the reason why I want to see them irl one day!

Oh, look, a blizzard. What a surprise. I wonder how could Pleasant Valley become inhabited in the first place.

The tractor near Pleasant Valley's barn. My favourite anti-bear tank, along with the cars at Spruce Falls' bridge (but the tractor looks cooler). Hopping in and out throwing some stones after a successful arrow you can keep the bear nearby till it dies. See the bear approaching?

By the way, doesn't the barn look a bit less dark then before? Maybe to make it less bothersome for Wintermute's sake?

Did they add this sign in the most recent update? I know I haven't visited Coastal Highway in a while, but I was really surprised to see that sign on my most recent trip.

I really wanted to demonstrate my "hidden fire" technique. "I'm a servant of the Secret Fire... YOU SHALL NOT PASS!" No, not that. The point is to hide the fire behind something so the moose will notice it when he's a few feet away, so it will stop and turn around granting me a huge and almost still target for the second arrow. Anyway, it didn't go as planned.

And so I went full Legolas, I'm just sooo cool. Quartering a moose takes two hours, like a bear.

I think so, yes. I too was surprised the first time I saw it. Like: "Has it always been here and I was too caught up in the game to notice, or…" That kind of doubt, you know. 🙂

This robber has the worst luck... he tried to rob the bank with a knife in a raging blizzard, and well... he faded into The Long Dark. Perhaps he should have brought some firewood and matches instead? I mean what's the point in robbing a bank when the apocalypse has come, and money is now worthless.

I do appreciate his knife though, the more tools the better! his sacrifice won't be for nothing... but I did take all the money and pop it back into the safe where it belongs, maybe someday it will matter again? or maybe not... we will see with the future Episodes. ❤️

He came with a knife at a... frostbite? It wasn't that. Oh well. What a steteotype, in all natural disaster movies there's some no-gooder who stubbornly sticks to his original plan even if it's totaly pointless, causes trouble and then bites it.

Umm... what happened to this guy??? How did he die in there??? I wonder if he was trying to sleep in the hay for warmth and got crushed?... OUCH whatever happened it don't look good...

I was chopping some Cedars and this beast came at me, he was super close... thankfully I was able to get my Bow readied right real quick! I aimed and shot! I didn't realize the Arrow went right down his gullet until after I went up to his lifeless corpse to retrieve my Wolf Meat.

That is an awesome pic!  That is probably the most unique set of circumstances  to be hunting bear under as well.  Nicely done!
