  1. I was playing in Stalker and was in Broken Railroad and seen the Moose and took aim and fired off a shot and down went the moose. The Long Dark - Stalker - Broken Railroad - Moose Killed First Shot.mp4
  2. The Whiteout Challenge one wouldn't work as its time limited. I play on PS4. I finished this challenge but I failed it the first two times, the first time I didn't have night oil and was fishing to get more and didn't get enough in time. Once you get everything that's on the list the challenge ends and if you don't get everything that's on the list the challenge ends at 30 days. But I would like to be able to have this challenge have no time limit on it as it would be fun to try and live and move about outside while there is a raging blizzard that never seems to end and lasts for at least a week.
  3. There IS a non climbable way to Milton from Mystery Lake. If you watch this video you will see how you can get into Milton without using even one rope. Its at 18:51 in the video.
  4. I think the memento keys random spawns as I watched a video on YouTube and it showed the memento and keys on Coastal Highway in one of the cars at Commuter's Lament and the other in the car on the bridge near Rockfall but in my run I found no memento or keys in either of these two cars. In my current Pilgrim run on the ps4 I have found memento keys in Broken Railway, Mystery Lake, Forlorn Muskeg, Timberwolf Mountain, and Ash Canyon. Some of the mementos are in the car visors and other mementos are on tables or lying on the ground so they can be easy to miss if you are not looking. Not all mementos have boxes as some mementos just clear part of the map. The memento in Timberwolf Mountain near Deer Clearing did this, I looked and there was no key or box there to be found just the note I found at Crystal Lake fishing hut hinting at a memento.

  6. I don't fish much either unless I need lantern fuel. In my current Pilgrim run I have over 120 days done and I haven't fished once.
  7. A good place to take them to is the cave in Winding River as then you will have lots of fuel for a fire and can wait out any blizzards that arrive. Its reminds me of the time I had to fish a lot to finish getting my fishing skills up to level 5, I fished and fished in Mystery Lake and when I was finished I had a huge pile of fish. This was all the fish. And this was all the fish lined up outside the door at Camp Office.
  8. I did notice a lot of coal in the cave when I was going from Pleasant Valley to Mystery Lake but that's not a bad thing, and that was on Pilgrim. In my interloper run when I went into the cave going to Mystery Lake I didn't find as many pieces of coal. When it comes to research books I have found three Wilderness Kitchen books in my Pilgrim run even through I have level 5 cooking skills, it would be nice if I could find books for the skills I have yet to get to level 5 instead of finding the same books for skills I'm already level 5 at.
  9. I'm playing a run on voyager on the ps4 as I mostly play on voyager and I haven't noticed any increased clothing degradation, A tip, if caught out in a blizzard and you know where you are, take off all the characters clothes and then get to shelter as quick as you can and once in shelter you can put back on the characters clothes, by doing this you won't get your clothes ruined or have them take as much damage as you would if you wore them during the blizzard. I do this all the time if I'm caught out in a blizzard, I did it when a blizzard hit in Timberwolf Mountain when I was chopping wood near Mountaineer's Hut and instead of taking off all my characters clothes I had accidentally dropped them in the snow and when I got back to Mountaineer's Hut and went to put the clothes back on I released I had dropped them all, luckily I was about make a fire to boil water and coffee so that kept me warm until the blizzard stopped and I was able to go back out and retrieve my clothes.
  10. AI admin chatbots might have took over 😂
  11. I think the reason it seems there are more birch bark or sticks in the ravine is because its a small map. I always find a good few beside the cave on the Mystery Lake side I haven't noticed any more birch bark or sticks in the ravine more than usual but some regions have more birch bark than others, the ravine always had a good supply of them. In Mystery Lake when going to the Trapper's Homestead, the birch trees near Max's Last Stand never seem to have more than two or three birch bark.
  12. Here are the video clips from my game of the noises in Ash Canyon The Long Dark - Survival - loud noise.mp4 The Long Dark - Survival - noise.mp4
  13. I have heard strange noises in Ask Canyon too and it happens when approaching snow shelters. You can read more about it on this topic as well as watching the video I uploaded of the noises to see if its the same noise are you are hearing,
  14. When I first played The Long Dark in 2018 on the ps4 the region maps had lots of details and were easy to read then with the re-dux updates the maps where changed to what they are now. I was hoping would there be anyway to have the maps changed or to have the option to change them in the game settings. I download the detailed maps to my phone and I look at those the most when I'm playing the game as they are easy to read and have lots of details. The maps we have now The maps I download to my phone which have more detail in the map and are easy to read.
  15. I haven't reported it as a bug as it only happened twice in Ash Canyon.
  16. It sounds like something dropping but what is strange is that both times it happened I was walking towards a snow shelter as you can see in both clips so not sure if its a sound bug or not.
  17. It does sound like that. There were a few strange going on's in Ash Canyon, weird sounds like that, floating matches at the end of a bridge and giant birch bark. I might rename it spooky canyon. I've had the sound of prepare acorns staying after I had prepared them by hand and sleeping doesn't make the sound go away only leaving the building or going into a building if it happens in a cave makes the sound stop. I have reported the prepared acorns sound as a bug as it happens every time I prepare them by hand.
  18. The first time it happened I stopped and looked around as to me it sounded like someone threw a snowball.
  19. I agree. This was the first thing I noticed when I found my first Oak tree in the game, I marked the map with charcoal and noticed that the Oak tree didn't show up on the map so it would be great to have them show up on the map. Although in saying that the Oak trees are easy to spot once you see one or know where they are at once found. I have found Oak trees in Mystery Lake, Broken Railroad, Coastal Highway, I haven't seen or found any in Ash Canyon and I haven't explored Timberwolf Mountain yet besides heading to Ash Canyon.
  20. I found the part in my game video where the sound happened for the first time in Ash Canyon and it sounded like someone was throwing snowballs which is why I stopped and looked around. I am also playing on the PS4 on Pilgrim. I was walking towards a snow shelter at the time, the same as happened the second time it happened. Here is the clip. The Long Dark - Survival - noise 2.mp4
  21. I have lots of matches, that's the one thing about playing on Pilgrim as there is lots of matches. I leave some spare ones in caves and other places like buildings with stoves or fireplaces.
