  1. I like it. Very much. Changing your handling anims as you improve your rifle skill will be a lot of work. But it would be immersive. I own Escape from Tarkov and they did a great job. However i would keep "civilian" manner to handle a guns. That smal lstove would be great into some interiours where is no fire place. O even in wilderness it coud me more resistant to wind, but it takes time to heat your cofee cup. Maybe not able to boil it.
  2. I know, its change about minor problem. Separate skill is nice idea but i would avoid two condition parameters. I would leave one, like in present. If your hatchet heat loses condition it becomes not sharp and handle breaks. And you need a new handle and then proceed sharpening. Also i would not separate items to handles and blades, i would leave it as broken axe (as own model with broken handle with 0 % cond, however not labeled "ruined"). Thats a little problem, because all 0 % items becomes ruined, so non ruined broken axe seems odd.

Unlike present gameplay, where you need tool box and base material i suggest more immersive way to repair those tools: Hatchet and hammer: New craftable item: Wood handle (2 hours, fir firewood) 🔸 It can save broken items from 0 % to 100 % (hammer), or to 1 % (hatchet, so whetstone still required). 🔸 Only way to repair hammer, hatchet however can be maintained via whetstone (unless not broken). 🔸 Cannot be found in world. New spawned item: Saw blades (cannot be crafted). 🔸 Only way to save broken hacksaw or repair it (saw blades always give 100 % condition), maybe you could get old saw back with previous condition. 🔸 Located only in tool boxes or near work bench With this system hammer can be used infinitely, however rest of tools are finite (limited by amount of blades and whetstones), so improvised variants still have merit (and they are option because you cannot loose the hammer). Tools still make repair faster and more succesfull.
  5. Technically, devs could avoid a lot of trouble by simplyfy the mechanics. 1. Growing up would be stationary (puppy only as placeable object), only system of animations and "living" AI required. Plus some additional animations, when carrying (like puppy's head in player´s FOV). 2. "Teenager" and adult could be same, just with different parameters. 3. All gameplay could be minimalised to basic behaviour: ◻️ Following player ◻️ Orders for scavenge items and animals ◻️ Manual transport by player thru inaccesible paths (Rope, etc), solved already for puppy state, cuz you need to carry it anyway ◻️ Simplified AI for indoor locations (houses/caves). List of animations or movement, like for NPC in story mode. Mostly stationary. Indoor locations are repetitible, so it can be defined once and it projects into all same interiours. In real application it means setiing of sitting or lying spots and pathways between them. Sounds pretty easy, right.

    I believe they removed certain items from beach combing. Like painkillers, prybar or ammo.
  7. Long dark can be played in any way. If you choose to harvest puppy for a meal, you should be able to do it. Its survival. Or you know what? Keep it as living can of meat. And after it becomes big and yummy, mr. revolver will take care. Its sad, but in Interloper scenario, plausible (except mr. revolver, lol). Also you could push for some official answer from dev team. You made effort, they could answer.
  8. Nice and detailed but: 1. Animal AI is broken, especially in indoor areas. You have to hard code your furry buddy behaviour in all interiours (playing, lying, etc), basicly second AI tree just for this task. AI for rest of behaviour not even mentioned. 2. Wolves arent best animals for training. Domesticated wolf breeds, like Czechoslovak wolfhound can be very dangerous. Even if trained properly. 3. Also most hard players would harvest puppy for a meal. 4. When you find a puppy, will be here option to harvest it? (Like limb or carcass)? 5. Dog puppy sounds more plausible, however how it could survive before your arrival? Maybe whinig next to dead body?
  9. TBh, i would remove all corpes from Survival (maybe except very rare skeleton remains?). To create TOTALLY loneliness in the abadoned world. Just YOU. And mother nature.
  10. I think best system is disabled sprain system. Except overweight. I belive that getting rid of something could be beneficial (cabin fever).

  12. I really doubt that Darkwalker is using complex AI. Its rather simple FSM checking players actions with Glyph and position.
  13. I would exclude anything modern from Blackrock location. No nightsticks or bullet proof wests. No firearms, except maybe rare Enfield as "forgotten" service rifle. But sewing machine sounds cool. Items, special for thos location could be some type of food (canned beef). And for clothing some police boots? There is probably nothing more special. maybe orange dress code as meme, but thats not usefull in cold areas.
  14. suggested milion times, but Hinterland never bothered. Its additional work and they even stop Milton Mailbag, so they not interested in reply. they just working on product and collecting suggestions.
  15. Anyway, changing quality of water in long term survival sounds good. However applying unpotable water from start is much easier and it makes sense too.

  18. Oh yes. Yes. Yes. Tank could cointain "special" water where you cant find if its potable or not, so you dont use purifier at own risk. Or boiling it for sure.
  19. Coop implement would require a lot of more man hours than this event. Almost everything you suggested would require a new game from sratch. I dont have any friends so i hate coop.

  22. Painkillers should be required for sleeping with pain. For now, painkillers are mostly abundant. Like water pur tablets.
  23. Rifle is shaking too, its logical that bow is similar (or even harscer, because you need strenght to keep it ready). Quetza, time to back into rocking rabbits. If you wanna survive.
