  1. I will check that location and the other houses in MT in my game, I looted all the buildings there and didn't think to check again, since batteries don't spawn inside building usually. Great tip Leeanda !
  2. It would be good to hack the dead batteries or get led from them to make bullets indeed. I too was surprised that we couldn't get anything from the transmitter. No problem, you are welcome !
  3. So, after a few more hours in the game, an update and a few more thoughts. Spoilers about the Tale below. First, I found a battery ! I decided to recheck every cars, starting in Mountain Town (no luck there) then Coastal Highway (then Desolation point, Blackrock and so on). I hadn't previously checked the car near coastal town, by the landslide south of the watchtower on the map. One car, one hope, one battery 😁 Then I dragged the thing to Pleasant valley to the radio tower, almost got eaten by the bear during the replacement of the battery at night with an aurora (I heard him huffing, puffing and trampling behind me during the animation). And then opened the bunker .... which had a battery in it 🤔 All in all, 7 batteries (including the newly 3 spawned with Signal Void) : - in the small annexe room of the radio tower in Forsaken airfield - in the wood reserve by the radio tower in Forlorn muskeg - in Moutain town in one of the two cars by the church - by the landslide on the road by coastal town in Coastal Highway - in the car by the heartbreak bridge in Pleasant valley (hacked so not 100% sure about this one) - in the bunker in PV - in the yard of Blackrock prison (hacked so not 100% sure about this one) I know that the one in the PV bunker might be random, but it's not a useful location (in interloper settings) in my opinion : the PV tower is likely the last to be done (on the way from FA) and you would need an extra battery to get to it. It would not be the case if put in HRV or Bleak inlet. Still a pain to drag to PV, but more usefull (I recheck those bunkers, no battery in them in my game). I haven't found all the new caches, it would be possible there are batteries in some of them (?).
  4. I started a survival interloper game before the release of part two Signal void. Start in HRV, I played 200 days to explore all the world and prepare my character to the maximum before the release (I visited every places). I have found only 3 batteries, left one outside the car in mountain town on day 4 and hacked 2 later to make bullets. I felt it was already not much batteries (is the number random ?). Then at broken railroad, the key for the cache box in the cave, with the gun, is missing, the box is still locked and I visited every corner of broken railroad. I read all the gun books, ammo books, moved items to make powder and bullets and hacked 2 batteries for nothing. Not feeling happy, having the impression my game is cursed at this point. Then I settle in the airfield and leave my game at that for a few month. Then Signal void is released. I repair the antenna in the airfield (with the newly spawn battery in the tower). Then repair the forlorn one, find the bunker in bleak inlet. Then repair the tower in mountain town, with the car battery I left there, find the bunker in HRV. Then proceed to Pleasant valley, aaaand... the battery did not spawn in the radio tower shed (left of the desk) and there are no batteries in PV, I checked all the cars again for them. So I assume there are no more batteries anywhere now. Am I missing something ?
  5. Ok, so. After few weeks of frustration, I started new games. Since being cold was not an option during a hunt, I focused on luring wolves and bears near fires and inside caves (with guts on me). It is working great, harvesting close to an already built fire is nice (I usually square a half of the kill, get warm again, and do the second half), harvesting inside a cave is a luxury (see attached image). A benefit of this kind of hunting is that, travelling is safer when there are no predators anymore in an area. BTW, I found out that wolves respawn every day or so in Mountain town. I also have plenty of cured wolf pelts early on, so I switched to wolf coat, instead of moose coat. The downside is I get more often close to wolves hence I get attacked statistically more often, and manipulating wolf/bear meat before cooking 5, is kinda dangerous ^^; Also, hunting that way during a quiet night or at dusk is very dangerous, I lost one character to an aurora wolf and another to an aurora bear, which don't care about your safe space anymore. Despite losing those 120 and 180 days characters, I found out the game is more thrilling for me that way. And came the roll back on the feature-bug in the last update.
  6. THis is another way to describe the change yes.
  7. Fires, hot beverages and warm clothing are already used to their full extent by interloper players, I don't feel there is much to adapt here. Yes, the challenges and feats are good to know the game better and change the playstyle according to the goal (I've got/done them all). But we are talking about the main game experience here. How about make the snow shelter more usefull ? I barely use it because of the need for cloth in its crafting recipe and because of its insanely quick condition loss (10% a day as I recall ?). How about removing the need for cloth and increase the stick consumption a little (like 25 sticks to make the shelter and only sticks to repair it) ? That way, I would surely built them more often to get warm and to cook/harvest the kills.
  8. Making a change in the game has little to do with its plausibility, it has to relate primarely to gameplay and game mechanics : Some examples of irrealistic behavior in the game related to warmth : beverages are hot for an hour and cold after, hot beverages never evaporates when close to a fire, the player don't get warmth from doing intense effort (like running). Making the bow wobbly when cold is a nice constraint for stalker and below level of difficulty, because the player is warm most of the time. In interloper, the main killer is the cold, and the player is freezing most of the time. Adding more difficulty in sucessfully hit targets, with the only available weapon, will have an effect on : arrows, bow, fuel, matches, and beverages consumption. And of course the grindiness of the game (and archery level). So in my opinion, this change would only be impactful for interloper players, rather cosmetic for the others.
  9. So it was in the test build and probably wasn't intended to be released in the game (yet). I expect a revert on that after the event or even before, because that "small" change is making the game harder to another level. And to be honest, I may not be willing to play the game anymore beacause of it.
  10. In the build "escape the darkwalker" 1.86 67831S, when the player is cold, when aimed, now the bow is shaking. It is not swaying, it is not because of archery level (lvl5 in my game), it is shaking a lot and targeting is almost impossible, rendering the bow useless as soon as cold. In interloper difficulty, the player is almost always cold which makes hunting with the bow now impossible. Why hinterland ? A very frustrated player who can't enjoy one of his favorite game anymore.
