  1. I do enjoy the thrill exploring new areas without maps. But I do like playing with offline maps as well. I do come from country where whole country is covered by 1:50.000 detailed maps which are available for public (former military maps, now released and yearly updated). Some areas are covered by 1:25.000 maps. I cannot imagine to go to any trip without map.

BTW if you want to enjoy the most dense and elaborate tourist tracks, come to Czech Republic. Our tourist club started 1888 and is working on the tracks till today. It kinda spoiled me. You can go to the nature and be sure, that from one sign you can see the second one.

My granparents heated with coal and as I recall they too have tons delivered.  The coal truck had a chute that was attached to the back of the truck, much like the trough a cement mixer uses.  It was "poured" down a coal chute into a big room down in the cellar.  My granddad would open a trap door from the outside allowing the chute to be put in and the helpers would shovel the coal down the chute.

Our house was about 100m from nearest road. Direct driving with truck would destroy our and neighbor gardens. So it was up to my brothers and, when I was big enough, me to haul all the coal.

There is window in the baron cellar. But isnt it above stairs? But there could be some slide involved and then the barrow make sense in the basement as well. You dont want to have coal right where stairs ends.

Uh and I found another bear in Forlong. Would you like me to bag it? Shall it be stored in the cellar or you have some outside storage? I dont know if the outside storage would be safe. When I was leaving the feast, I noticed many wolf tracks and I think I glimpsed some glowing eyes near the cabin.

  3. What is question for me: How was the coal transported to the basement. We had coal storage in the basement. Each winter it was about 2 tons or 3 tons of coal. I do remember wheelbarrowing it from the point where truck put it on the ground to our basement. But we had big window with slide. And the bin is little bit too small for coal storage for winter.

I only have 1 question: who keeps a wheelbarrow in the basement?

I suspect, somebody was doing some building changes right before the event happened. Maybe you should go knocking on walls. Maybe you could find some secret room, which has beed sealed off.

Add an ammo bench in the Quonset Garage

IMO more logical place for ammo bench are those two cabins N or NW on the map. The Quonset is garage so it should stay as such. Hunters need re-arming so the ammo bench should be there. It can be outside since these cabins are somewhat small. And making bullets with fear a bear is looking over your shoulder... Nice

Currently there aren't any NPC mods.  So much work as they would need dialogue and animations.  That would be a project of some magnitude and probably
would not be free as most of the current mods are.

I was actually meaning mod without any dialogue. Just movement. Imagine you step out from a cabin and see person in distance moving from place to place.  Maybe he/she could start a fire from time to time. Best would be if the person is unreachable. If player comes to certain distance, it would just vanished.

I know it will be big. Hmm we can start smaller, without the person. One could just find some traces. Everytime player would enter area, dice roll will be made and human traces like fires, empty cans, packagings from food etc would be placed on the map. It could stay there for lets say three ingame days and then vanish. Fires could be burning for some time too. Maybe water or tea could be sometimes on them. It could magnify the solitude. You would know, there are other people, you could just not meet them.

  7. I have spent most time from my runs in the Coastal Highway. So I think this is my choice. I suspect I would not leave it at all if there would be forge. There is something relaxing in the ocean view. I know there is ocean in Desolation Point and Bleak Inlet. But Coastal Highway is somehow somewhat peaceful. Maybe the remnants of industry in BI and DP is disturbing the peace.

Second choice would be Pleasant Valley.

  8. It has been lovely time here. But I have to go. I will go to Ash Canyon. I left the gold I found there. I plan to take it to Bleak inlet. There is workshop. I might be able to turn the gold into wires. Then I plan to re-coil the car alternator. I think I might get a electrocity source. I may put it near Quonset into the waterfall. Or I may catch a wolf, put it into wheel and let it to create eletricity.

P.S. I dont know why all those copper wires used for distribution are not working.

  9. Or we can do such meal on our own. Hunt down rabbit, wolf, deer, moose and bear. Gut them. Prepare gallons of infusion. Stuff the rabbit into wolf. This into deer. Stuffed deer into bear and all this into moose. Spike it and roll over fire while pouring the infusion all over it. Cut the done pieces and serve them.

If you have time, you can macerate those animals for week or two to get better flavour.

  10. Hi there fellas, I am back. I brought the rabbit pelts as promissed. I checked the place you @Catloverdropped the moose. All the meat is gone. I suppose The Bear is now full as rest of the predators. I have found just bones and antlers. I put antlers in the shed behind and those pelts are in the basement now.

I think the path is now safe for a moment as all those animals are pretty fed. Hope it stays like this for few days at least.

  11. Hi there @piddy3825 We made it. Its three of us for now. I think other guests may be delayed. The infamous Big Bear is watching way to your nice lodge. And to answer your questions. I will have everything on the menu.

Something I did not tell you. I have prepared a two bottles of rosehip spirit. One is yours and second we shall drink to celebrate another day to live.
