  1. I know that you and the team always have to weigh gameplay value against difficulties inherent in adding or changing features/mechanics, but how would you feel about players being able to breakdown burned out campfires? I mean, even if only as an option to get rid of them when we are done using them. I ask because I find myself looking for good places to put them outside, and most often I opt not to just because I know I will eventually wreck the place with campfires just littered all over. This is also why I don't use fire to thaw carcasses, I know it would make it easier to harvest and keep me warm... but I just can't get past the fact that it will leave a fire pit there forever (I suppose I also worry if leaving fire pits around might interfere with limb spawns as well - if left in a place a limb might usually spawn I mean).
  2. In my experience so far, the sprain mechanics are much improved. A single wrist sprain is no longer leaves you defenseless, so I though this was a nice balance against the expanded treatment that was introduced. I really appreciate the quick work by the team in dealing with bugs and anomalous occurrences and I can hardly wait to see what else they have in store for the future. With each update the game gets better end better, and I can't express my gratitude enough that the Hinterland team has been so dedicated to growing and enriching this experience for all of us.
  3. I like how this thread shifted to a positive and constructive conversation.
  4. The world building they've put in to this is really wonderful. Every place you look you can intuit a story of how it got that way, and it's masterful how they leave the little clues for us to find. I love to imagine how "Point of Disagreement" went down.
  5. You clearly have nerves of steel And Grumpy clearly has a chip on his shoulder. (great shots by the way)
  6. okay, now that is just classic TLD... That's a really great shot!
  7. @Raphael van Lierop I think majority of this community think you are doing a wonderful job. Especially considering all the things you have to manage, deal with, and overcome. I for one am only here because I love the game, and I care about this community. While none of us can really know or fully appreciate what you have been up against or having to work though day in and day out since 2013, I just want to say that I think you are doing amazing things and I will always do what I can to support your team and their projects.
  8. 100% agree, all of the additions by and large really improve the depth of the game for me. Looking forward to what else is in store for us down the road.
  9. @Mroz4k I agree, all in all the update has been a wonderful addition to the game. There will likely be some fine tuning, but over all a great value add to the experience.

    A fine idea indeed
  11. I wasn't really referring to any of those things. It was more just a general statement. I don't plan on participating in any argument - I've already had one person lure me into one, that was quite enough for me.
  12. @Admin I've done my best to curb that part of the discussion, and have no plans to further participate in it. I regret getting tangled up in the conversation and never intended to draw your attention. I hope you didn't find my part objectionable.
  13. I have a feeling that the calculations and interaction of options and variables are probably a little more complex than we know.
  14. These are all fine wish list items, I know some have been bouncing around in these forums for a while. You are definitely not alone in wishing for them. However, I can't necessarily agree with how you feel about the environment. I would say keep in mind that this is the "Quiet Apocalypse," I would posit that lonely and desolate are a part of the flavor if this game. (I'm not saying anyone is wrong, just adding my two cents).
  15. @kristaok I'm not attacking anyone. I didn't call you any names nor did I ever attack your character as a person, it seems you are twisting my words now. As I said I never intended to exacerbate your condition, but I'm not going to pretend I agree with you just because you are upset. I agree this has gotten pretty derailed, if you like we can discuss things more someplace else. Again I regret that you feel the way you do... but I can't control how you choose to feel or interact with others. I do sincerely hope you feel better and wish you all the best
  16. @kristaok Not al all... It's unfortunate that you feel persecuted, it certainly wasn't my intention. Unfortunately I can't control how you perceive things. I really wish you would stop being hostile towards me. I've only ever tried to be a voice of reason since I started posting again. I hope you feel better soon, I wish you all the best.
  17. I believe you... and in my option you are reacting disproportionally to the severity of the issue. Heck, you are even doing it right now.
  18. Hmm, a golden rule for TLD... well: Practice throwing stones at everything. Rabbits... Wolves... Bears... Deer... doesn't matter. The more to pitch stones the more naturally your estimation of the throw will be. We all know by now that a stalking wolf will charge as soon as you aim... well you don't have to aim to pitch a stone. If you are practiced, you can always send them running any time they start to stalk you with a well placed throw. Also, pitching stones to annoy bears is funny
  19. @WellsleyFarms No one can control how other people chose to interpret and internalize that is being presented. I suppose most people will biases everything to try and fit it into their own point of view. Other people here have clearly already made up your minds, and have negatively constructed a version of reality that fits their world view. - I am very sorry to see that, but how others wish to see the world is entirely up to them. This topic clearly got derailed along time ago.
  20. @kristaok I wouldn't accuse you of anything, just making an observation based on behaviors I witness. I realize you are in a fragile state right now and did not wish to exacerbate your condition. I was only trying to point out that you might be over reacting to (in the grand scheme of life) a relatively small problem. I am encouraging patience, because what you are having anxiety about is being worked on. Hang in there, it's going to be okay
  21. Well said @hozz1235. This is pretty much what I've been staying...
