  1. I will preface this post by saying: I am working on getting a ticket on the support page (but I'm at work right now, so it has to wait). I just want to ask the question to the general population here... I did experience one other minor thing and I am wondering if anyone else out there experienced something similar. I was hunkered down in the cave just above Milton Basin. I was biding my time a couple of days prior to the update release. The important bit is that I had a hand full of food items (couple of boxes of crackers, a few energy bars, and a couple of bits of cooked meat). When I loaded up my save after the update... I noticed those food items I set just outside the cave were gone. Has anyone else had any items disappear on them?
  2. Agreed! I think @ajb1978's observation is right on the money.
  3. Not to worry folks, whenever anything new gets implemented there are bound to be adjustments, tweaks to mechanics, rebalancing, etc... Raph already tweeted that they were looking into it. Hang in there survivors, it's going to be okay.
  4. Raph has spoken to this a couple of times before, here is how he sees it:
  5. I think my favorite moment at the start of this update video is hearing Raph very candidly say, "The first we've fixed in this update is the sprain system... A much hated feature in our game..."
  6. Yes definitely... I've just always thought that having more options is always more fun than having fewer. Honestly it's been a long time since I even bothered to pick up birch bark... I'm usually too flush with Cattail heads to worry about tinder I just think it's cool that their medicinal function was an addition and not a trade off, you know what I mean?
  7. It's still going to be a few hours before I can try out the new update... but while Birch Bark is now useable for tea, it's still a viable tinder right? I mean, I feel like it can be both
  8. @Failure Yes, I do know how early access works... I participated. What are we getting for free? Well first of all I said basically for free... meaning that what ever you initially paid for the game is all you've ever had to pay. Now getting back to the matter at hand... there have been several updates since the game came out of early access and officially released. Many other publishers / developers (I can name more than a few, but I'm not going to do that in a public forum) would have been nickel and diming their communities; charging for each update as a "Paid DLC" or "expansion packs." What has Hinterland done? They've continued to enrich and expand their game... add more content, mechanics, and additional maps to explore; all at no additional charge to the players.
  9. I love the fact that I was musing about the possible gameplay applications for the revolver just a few days ago... only to find out my wish came true! Thank you Hinterland!
  10. @Torqen - I wasn't denying the relevance... just responding to the hostility with a little levity Besides:
  11. You can express your criticism... nothing wrong with that. Just keep in mind the amount of content we have been basically getting for free. There has been no additional cost to us at all, this is a lot of value. Plus you don't seem to be aware of all the hard work that goes with making, testing, and implementing changes in a product that is already very layered and complex.
  12. Well it was released by Hinterland so it's up to the various platforms to ensure delivery to the end user.
  13. Absolutely, I never even knew that improvised wraps were something I needed in my life so much...
  14. Ultimately, as long as you get the warmth/protection bonuses properly for worn gear... I argue it doesn't really mater if the character model's hands reflect unique skins for what you currently have equipped (outer jacket and gloves specifically) - besides it would look kind of clunky if it showed you wearing thick rabbit skin mitts while trying to fire a rifle...
  15. Packed full of delicious treats... I agree this is a game changing update, so much to sink your teeth into. I love it.
  16. I take it you mean cloves that show on the character model? Because there are already several kinds of gloves/mittens in the game.
  17. Raph said that sometimes it takes these things a while to propagate... I'm sure it's coming.
  18. I was impressed by how much they fleshed it out. It will make sprains more costly, and I like that... I do hope that they can still slowly heal naturally over time... I'm really stingy with my cloth as it is
  19. Well done, I can't wait to give this a try is sounds fun.
  20. Agreed @LilWolf, I mean there is so much to love about this update... I really appreciate all the care that went into updating the sprain system, much more fleshed out. The improvised wraps and Birch Bark Tea... I mean just these things by themselves are great additions to the game play, and yet there is a mountain more packed into just one update. This as been well worth the wait!
  21. Yeah, it didn't seem likely that 'loper would incorporate the pistol. (I was hoping they would keep that pure, and they did ) The good news is, you can always set up a custom game what has Interloper-like difficulty and still have things like knives, hatchets, rifles, and pistols spawn like a Stalker run.
  22. I know @MarrowStone, I really like everything I see so far.
  23. Quick question... when you say adjusted, do you mean increased or decreased?
