  1. I also wanted to leave my two cents and from me coming this late to the discussion you can probably guess my stance: For me the delays are ok. They don't bother me at all. I have a busy life and have to make room to play and enjoy TLD. Which I do whenever possible. So I really could not dive into all the new content so far and a slower release cycle is actually better for me. And since it is my understanding that the new features will all come - just slower - I do not regret buying the expansion pass. (Although that says very little as I bought it primarly because I wanted to support my favourite game - the content is bonus...) Keep up the good work, Hinterland. I am still a happy customer and TLD player. Cheers, Z
  2. Only after many trips to Timberwolf Mountain I realized that you can see the "goal" of the map (tail section) from the hut... And only during my latest trip there did I realize that you can already see it on your entrance... Hats off to the designer 🙂
  3. They distract wolves from you but, as Serenity said, only if you are not too close to it. So if a wolf locks onto you you can run and drop the decoy which should give you a decent chance he will take it and leave you alone. Honestly, since the change I usually just use the decoy key to drop all meat before I go inside so it lasts longer. But now that I think of it, I use the decoy sometimes when I do not have Archery level 5 yet. Attract wolf drop decoy and move away from wolf and decoy when he is almost at the decoy: crouch he loses interest in me and the decoy shoot him in the back with little risk for my health It works but it seems like a bug to me...
  4. While I can understand your perspective I would argue exactly like this. The design value of guaranteed spawns is that early fire starting is not a game stopper. I love interloper and I don't want to get back to the other difficulties. And the way I think about interloper is: "You can only play it if you know the game well." Be that spawn location for critical items, maps or your first matches. And you can either look those things up or learn them over time. I found Athenon's series for each interloper starting region very helpful https://www.youtube.com/c/atheenon/search?query=start But that is just how I think about it and that's the beauty about TLD beeing a single player game. Everybody can approach the game in their own way and decide what is cheating and what is not.
  5. I do not know much about this but it is my understanding that if placed in a rabbit area there is a chance that the snare will catch a rabbit (usually over night) and a chance that the snare breaks. I guess the percentages depend on the amount of rabbits present and the weather. That's how I think about it and so far all my observations match this.
  6. Yea, I think I encountered something similar when going inside. So I started to avoid that. If I had to guess I would say sleeping can have the same effect. Would be nice if they could fix this. I only hunt if I can be awake and outside for the full bleed-out time...
  7. IIRC, last time they said they want to never do that again. So I am mostly counting on that. I think that's why they implemented the loot boxes. That way they can redo many things and save the players stuff from disappearing. If it were to happen now I would not enjoy it as I am aiming for the 500 days in interloper but I learned a lot so far so a redo would not be a disaster.
