  1. You get mending points from mending your clothes. Most of my blisters are from burning myself. Treatment is cold water to the spot where it "hit" about ten minutes at a time and dont rub or scatch it, you are free to wear clothes after the first aid. I get that bandage thing, bandage keeps it from rubbing anything including clothes. I still think that you mean arranging things. Not mending. Ok, risk that is. But how it differs from that have you blister or not. Biting cause bleeding so it definitely has punctured your skin.
  2. This is like saying everytime you use forge you have a chance to get a blister. Mending and forging is two different things and should not rely on each other, like it is now. You already get mending points from books. Blister is not a reason to run a round naked. Blister in hand hasn't stopped me from wearing gloves. It doesn't reguire any specific threatment to heal. Just don't "pop it" if it isn't necessary. You already get infection immediately when you get bitten by wildlife. You already get nice pile of sticks when you drop them. Mending points from arranging sticks? What the...?
  3. Bleed out system is still broken. I was in desolation point and was so stoked that i finally have one peace of my becoming bear coat available but no. That sucker is still alive and kicking and no blood trail to be seen. It's cold and miserable and i want my bear coat! To top it all, one of my arrow is missing and cannot find it. Kiitos ja anteeksi.
  4. Force of habit is strong in this one I remember when i first time cleaned a rifle and didn't know should you take bullets out of it or not. So i played it safe and unloaded the weapon. After some time i read it isn't nessesery in this game but i already had a habit for unloading a weapon everytime. For me it was no brainer to take of the bullets but it might not for everyone, so it is good if it somepoint is reguirement to unload a weapon before cleaning. If there ever is that mechanism it should do more than just bruising your thigh when rifle hits it because of recoil. It might have multiple outcomes starting from that bruce in your thigh thing.
  5. Putting something in crates in this game is waste of time. But i get it why someone would like to do so. It would keep woods in order and out of the floor.
  6. I have never cleaned a gun without removing the bullets first. I just like the fact that it is more secure to handle a firearm without bullets in it.
  7. My deepest condolences! I have had some problems too with sinking campfire. Sometimes it doesn't allow you to put anything in place you should boil water or cook food.
  8. Hello, after that first longer run i haven't got anywhere near it because of wildlife, well because wolves mainly, so i turned passive wildlife on and practice "weather management". I still try to avoid wildlife like before to practice that also. My condition is much better on this run cause i stop to warm much often than before and use warmed rosehip tea to get warming up bonus. Loper really is about coal and stick gathering like one said before. I have been in Spence's forge in Forlorn and forged one knife, one hatchet and ten arrowheads. I also have three maple- and 12 birch saplings curing alongside of few hides from deer carcasses. It is day 12 and i'm heading to Milton next. This current run started from desolation point and it would have ended just before coastal highway in that crumpling road section because of wolf. After that there is about three times wolf was so close it would have charged towards me. Some may consider that passive wildlife turning on somesort of cheating but for me it was frustrating that my runs always ended with wolf encounter. Playing this game wasn't fun anymore. I think wolves have too much impact on this game right now, but this is only my opinion and other opinions weight as much as mine. Maybe this is my point on this wolf subject because first i'm beginner and secondly i'm bit on comfy side of a person so i like peaceful journeys, with wolves that is not going to happen. Thanks to everybody who has shared their know how with others so far. I always like to see people getting some assistance, no matter the subject.
  9. How is this wrong subforum when he wishes great life for everybody? I think that was best wish so far.
  10. 1. Done and done 2. I think i save this piece of coal for later. 3. I think i keep this, i might need this later. 4. I know where to go and what i need but i'm never going to make that journey alive. 5. What if i skip just this once, this is never going to happen again. 6. There must be undo button somewhere over here.
  11. I thougt it only has max. 5kg of meat plus guts and hide, i was pleasantly suprised but ohshit cross my mind when it had 35kg and i knew i'm not going to able take all meat that was available and when i'm back for round two there is no moose to harvest or the condition is dropped to 20 or something else is came up. So my decision was 2kg meat and hide is coming with me. There was a cave where i cooked the meat. And yes, no wind there This is what i wasn't able to find out because i didn't find path around those stickbushes and character is no more among the living.
  12. That's exactly what i did. I took the hide and 2kg of meat with me. That was first time i had seen moose pre-killed. I was amazed because i thought moose is like a bear, you have to kill it yourself everytime.
  13. First day and this is what i find after few hours of searching. The moose had 35 and some kg of meat in it, 54% condition. Location was HRW, near second signal fire. Question is: How would you handle the situation?
  14. Amazing. Does this mean wildlife bleeding doesn't stop during region visit? Example Ravine-ML-Ravine.
  15. @manolitodeespana I'm glad that you somewhat like my suggestion, fire in this game isn't some little meaningless nuance and it is worth spend some time what could be done differently. That campfire break down function was very nice addition and i wish more functions are coming.
  16. Hello everybody, i'm not sure is this already been discussed but in my opinion, campfire goes out too fast when wind starts to pick up speed. Suddenly 4 hour burn time is 9-7 minutes. It bothers me so much that there has to be better way to implement fire go out faster in windy conditions. I know that blowing wind provides more oxygen to fire and it makes wood burn faster. Could it be more subtle about burn time going faster without it drop so dramatically. It could burn wood three to six times faster, so 6 hour burn time would be 2-1 hour burn time? And it wouldn't drop to 6h to 1h in second but burn time would start to go faster so you have time to react to it. Then there is blizzard wind speeds that could put out campfire immediately but wood that you put there before fire going out would remain. If there were 4 hour worth of wood before it goes out it starts from there when you next time light it on fire. There could be even possibility to get some of your unburn wood back when you break down campfire. There are campfires around the Great Bear Island and it would be neat that you could find campfire that contains example 1 hour 15 min worth of wood to burn and you wouldn't need add wood to start the fire. I know somebody answers that they like the game how it is and there are so many sticks lying around anybody could possibly need for long lasting outdoor fires. That is fine but i think there is a way to make fire go out more predictable manner and not ruin the game experience that now exists.
  17. I curse that day when Hinterland announce that wolfs can jump.
  18. If you are searching ants down at your feet then you got a tool for that, but in longer distances you need binoculars which have multiple lenses to be able to see far away.
  19. I once found myself in wooden crate, so yes there is sometimes usefull stuff
  20. Thanks! Route was left after entrering Forlorn. It has been my route from beginning when heading to forge. And always thought it was the safest to take. I continued my previous pilgrim save because i felt like needing some therapy session after that interloper run and i will go check the route you suggested.
  21. But hammer is so heavy. Like the name suggests. Thank you. i think healt bar was in red already when it happened my thoughs was in that nearby cave and i took the wrong turn. Yeah there isn't any place to go inside. There is that one wolf nearby the forge and i was thinking could it attack middle of forging session? That tea really is something else.
  22. Thanks! It was constant struggle and i think it was because of slow start. Starting point was at Forlorn and i headed straight to the ML and pretty much stayed there 21 days. Forging really takes some planning and it can mess your run if it wasn't planned good enough.
  23. Guess what guys. It was the most longest 35 days in this game. Guy met his makers at Forlorn waters. I think i rushed bit too much for going to forge that dude couldn't handle it. My question is if you go through ice do you drown immediately or was this combination of low healt and go through ice? My previous record was 1.5 days so this was significant improvement and i learned a lot. So new start and with much better understanding what to do and what not to.
  24. I didn't know you can do stop and go with quartering process. But carcass will still be gone after some time if you didn't manage to quarter it before that. So you have 2-3 in-game days to quarter it?
  25. I will check maple for those location. I think i'l start to panic some point of time if i don't find some maple soon.
