  1. True. You can walk by an arrow ten times before you notice. If it is broken on wood or rock it breaks your search image. When we look for arrows we tend to look for a straight line on a snow white background, not a ‘V’ shape lodged in a huge stack of trees.
  2. Make sure you choose your own ground to your own advantage with timberwolves. You hunt them, not the other way around. 😉
  3. Halfway up the stair is the stair where I sit… I do not exist. Back to where it all started.
  4. For the love of all the Old Gods! Why did you stop there and get out your camera? 😛😝😜🤪
  5. All those huge windows, and yet even when it is bright moonlight or dawn outside, there is no lighting or even window backlighting in there. Someone at Hinterland needs to revisit the workshop night lighting.
  6. OMG! I had no idea that there was gear inside crates. 🤪
  7. I was just a few hundred meters from there last night. I should go check if there is any new loot. Mountain Town sure has changed since the last time I was there.
  8. The dynamics of play, the ability to move the camera and look around make it easier to “see” in the same conditions. I am not suggesting that the individual frame is different, but that the context for understanding what you are looking at is.
  9. Since I first killed the other two timberwolves at the Cannery, the pack has not respawned in months. The remaining wolf is always terrified of me. I have started to leave rabbit meat for her.
  10. I’m on a computer. I always use photoshop to bring up my screenshots. What you can see just fine when playing can lose a lot in a still photo.
  11. I will look out for that. Thanks.

    More food

I got the Living off the Land achievement. Twenty-five consecutive days eating nothing but roasted meat and water. Mmmm. I have a good idea how I am gonna die. lol
  13. By and large the game handles recovering arrows well enough. However I am frequently losing arrows under the map when a downed animal falls on the arrow. I want to check that this is a “feature” rather than a bug. Does this happen to you? It usually takes 2–3 arrows to take a bear down. But if one of those arrows is in the side of the head that falls onto the snow, then it cannot be recovered. It is under the map. I put a deer down yesterday with one shot to the head and watched the arrow disappear out of the map as it fell. This cannot be right. Even if falling on the arrow has a high chance of breaking the arrow, it should be possible to recover the broken arrow. Technically I suppose this puts a limit on the number of kills you can get with a bow. If each hunt pushes one arrow outside the map, then the maximum number of arrow kills you can possibly get is 3x the number of birch saplings, which are sparse. Lemme know what you think.
  14. I have so much moose and bear, and rabbits are so few in calories by weight, that I only take them for pelts in snares. It is so not-worth-it to cook the rabbit that I have been leaving the meat out for scaredy wolf at the Cannery.
  15. Sometimes I think about how much more versatility gameplay would have with a cargo sled. And what are all those hundreds of pallets for in-game anyway?
  16. Cook your mountain of dead bears and level that cooking up.
  17. So, eventually you build a wall of bear quarters around the garage? I think parasites go away at level 5 cooking. Is this not so in Stalker?
  18. Wow, you have been grinding. Episode III in the first week. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
