  1. looks promising! Where is that? I was assuming in the goldmine, but there is no place like this
  2. i've never seen these cookies in the game. Where are they from?
  3. Years ago i suggested that. When cleaning the rifle while it's loaded there should be a chance to injure and even kill yourself I just don't keep the revolver in my hand anymore when i'm picking up things or searching lockers and stuff
  4. This annoys me every time. every.darn.time. Don't like the revolver anyways. I like the grim atmosphere:
  5. You nailed it for me. I also wanted a place in the survey where we could write little (or tbh not so little) text. At many of the questions i was like "my answer is between A and B, i would like to have the possibility to specify my answer" But i liked the survey, especially when it came to other projects after TLD. I'm very high on atmosphere and TLD has the best atmosphere. It develops in the long run, but there's where the value is. And yes, i also feel that the game is slowly facing its limits. What could help are new mechanics and more options for the gameplay: deeper crafting (i'm thinking about options to improve gear like in The Last of Us 1), more food items (e.g. a bag of nuts, after you ate them you can use the shells as tinder), birdnests that can be found, more lore pieces that tell you about the worldwide catastrophe and Great Bear as well as the region you are currently in. But most improving imo would be long term ingame-goals. Mapping everything out as an ingame task or the stuff from the Story with the white deer etc. And things like in the Legend of Zelda Games: You know the goal is the next dungeon, but nobody forces you to go straight to it nor punish you for not doing it. You can just keep exploring the rest of the map. Maybe some parts of the Zelda formula would work in TLD? What comes to my mind is one unique item per region. Just like the better backpack and the climbing shoes in Ash Canyon, the elk satch in HRV, the bow in DP....oh well maybe they have already done it But maybe extending that? I believe it would also be nice when some regions have unique wildlife, e.g. region B has wolves and a bear, but when you want a moose you have to travel to region C etc. This also hits exactly my opinion. Your post as a whole and especialy the underlined parts. More versatile gameplay, deeper mechanics, etc. Would also be nice to access buildings without a loading screen. And the ability to look outside to check if wolves are nearby. But i guess the two latter were never intended when development started. Arcade mode, hell yeah! Ok, it must be an arcade mode based on the generel speed of TLD, but still....
  6. I'm getting this message too. I don't when i took the last survey but i doubt that it is around for so long ^^
  7. nice ones! I like the deer the most because of the lightning and the panorama
  8. Regardless from other crafting wishes etc., i would like to have a safehouse customization as it was notet on the early roadmap. Just to be able to repair the roof at the hut in TWM would be great or the ability to make the church a base with a fence. Or the possibility to build an anteroom like the one at the farmstead in order to give you the possibility to observe the area in front of you before actually going outside.
  9. I found the video: see here From the beginning til ~0:35. It's from 2019 so maybe it's patched the way that the moose indeed bleed out meanwhile - or it's a bug and they fixed it. Jeg glede meg til den neste video and you got my subscribe on YT P.S.: i just had to look how to write wolf in english lol. P.P.S.: Please correct my norsk if wrong. I learned it couple of years ago and just til A2. Thank you
  10. great video! There are one or two things in it that even i didn't know and i play since autumn 2015 I learned that you can distract wolves with stones some months ago, but to use it to bring a deer to a wolve was a new idea to me. I also didn't know that a wolve will be scared off of a carcass when aiming at him, usually they attack you right away. And the trick with the journal is funny two things: You can one shot any animal with any weapon, not just a flare gun. And the Moose indeed do bleeds out. There is a clip somewhere on YT showing that, unfortunately i don't have a link for you. And maybe you already know it, but a snow shelter is an op hunting base. When you are charged by a bear or something else you can just go into the shelter and be in safe. But i'm not sure if it's true for all difficulties. //oh you are from Norway? That's some extra points in sympathy
  11. Maybe there was a third one? 🤔
  12. yes these are exactly the corpses i meant. I explored HRV when it came out and when i stumbled upon them, well, i enjoyed that the devs gave us something to put our own creative minds on. What might have happened there and why?
  13. oh well i'm not sure anymore. One is lying and the other one right next to him.... i don't know anymore
  14. I hope you find my favourite two corpses (they are in HRV). They have clearly a story to tell
  15. Since when can you spot the plane from the hut this close? I mean you can see it, but not that close. Did you make two screenshots and put the close plane pic "behind" the first one? btw i noticed Hinterland always do this. In the first picture of a new map there is always something hidden, always in the far background. For Ash Canyon there was the bridge that you could easily oversee and only clearly spot when you zoomed far in. And for TWM you can spot the plane from the hut, but would miss it if you don't pay attention to the environment. I really like that, because it is exactly like in a real survival situation. You have to put close attention to the area around you to make it
  16. Well it says that my email does not exist which is wrong. Also the site don't recognize my passwort. So, there is an issue then
  17. Hello, i've come acros an issue while trying to log in to the forum. This forum is one of my starting pages and when i opened it i wasn't logged in. So i typed in everything and it says "wrong PW or Account" and i thought okay, usually i never log out from this site so maybe i forgot my correct PW. So i clicked the PW forgotten option and typed in my mail adress. But then the forum tells me that there is no match to this mail adress and i know that this is 100% incorrect, because it's my only one i use for ~8 years now. So the forum forgot my mail adress and my PW maybe too. The weird thing is, when i clicked on cancel and got back to the Forum overview, i was suddenly logged in. Sorry when this is the wrong place for this but in the support section i could only find ingame related problems. I know the staff is on holiday and it workedfor me after all, sofast help isn't necessary, it can wait. Thank you and happy new year everyone
  18. They have to be somewhere. I would just search every single folder on the computer (given that you don't have that many xD)
  19. They should be on your Desktop. Are you on WIndows and Steam?
  20. Looks great familiar! Can you tell if the time capsule erased your steam achievements or is this bug fixed?
  21. Welcome to the game! Tips for first timer? Well, use your magnifying lens to light a campfire whenever you can, it saves your matches. Matches are precious when you are playing on higher difficulties
  22. Thank you for posting the screenshot here. I don't have Twitter and would have missed it. Looks great and i identificate myself with this grim look. Always love to see that. Regarding the "ferry": In Alaska there is a thing like that to deliver wares over a river. I have seen it in a documentary about Christopher McCandless and his life and death in Alaska. A few years ago i made a long-site post and "suggested" that a visual reference to him could be implemented in the game. And well, maaaaybe this is part of it? Would love to see.
