  1. I have finally started my attempt...and 4 days in am just about through The Connector on my way to DP...and the only wolves I've seen have been thankfully very far away...I have yet to see a living deer...or bear for that matter. I will be doing a series of posts about my attempt on my blog...and eventually uploading a LP...no matter how quickly it turns south from here. To be honest I'm not even sure if I was seeing a distant wolf or 2 on Coastal Highway...I'd prefer to not run into any myself.
  2. Though my only Decent Loper run was 5 Days I will probably take a break fro my PB Voyageur run and give this a try...why not!
  3. No I was walking and slowly freezing as I struggled to find a cave.
  4. This happened the other night while I was lost, turned around in new territory in HRV.
  5. It's been a while but here's a new shot or two from my current sandbox, spending a lot of time in HRV.
  6. No, as far as I know this is just an update to Unity and Wwise and a whole bunch of bug crushing. I played through all of the Story Mode on Test Track and it was just as it was after the Difficulty level update.
  7. It sucks in real life let me tell you...and might be a killer in the wild.
  8. I love the sprain animations (including those in Test Branch), but a few things have always bugged me about Sprains and Painkillers. And doggone it most people just circumvent the dangers of having a sprained ankle in the wilderness and the even better animations (I've had a twisted knee coming down from the Summit of Mt. Mc Cloughlin in Orgeon) by popping painkillers. And magically the badly sprained ankle is immediately healed! Even worse is that the natural remedy consumed via the prepared tea, works just as fast and just as well. Shouldn't the tea take a whole lot longer to be diffused through the body as needed? What I would prefer is for the Painkiller to at the most- take the edge off the pain. So you're still hobbled but not as badly. So perhaps the limp animations aren't as noticeable after you take the painkiller. Perhaps you can use your rifle but you'll have more sway until your sprain is healed. So how is your sprain healed then? By the 10 hours of rest. So the painkillers take the edge off the pain of the wrist or ankle injury- but only the overnight sleep heals it. Maybe sometime further down the line there can be a difference between the speed of the Pills vs the Tea. Just my 2 cents.
  9. So...I was erm...looking at the glorious sunrise...in the Ravine...on the bridge before the tunnel before the trestle. I set myself up to take a screenshot on the center of the bridge, getting real close to the edge of the bridge so I could get the scenery only. When I was done I accidentally hit W instead of S. That's the last shot of this gif. It will of course be at the end of my Lara LP as well. ENJOY!
  10. Unknown. Although we do know that there are new crafting options coming- assuming using the moose.
  11. Oh yeah. I mean I did all of them since I installed the game...kinda wish I hadn't done the Test Branch fo Faithful Cartographer. Ruined some great surprises.
  12. True. But (I'm not taking the time to find Raph's exact response now) but someone tweeted him to ask if there was going to be open testing on this update. And he said no not this time or something to that effect. Personally I would not want test branches anymore...and if there are any in the future I will not be joining them.
  13. No thanks. I think test branch is over and should forever be over and done with. Thanks to Raphael's Twitter we can see that they are testing the sandbox...but I doubt they will ever open it up to a wide test branch style setup again.
  14. Yup perma-death should stay and should never go away.
  15. Raphael mentions it in a response to a question on his twitter feed. He essentially implies it's directly related to the moose...which can mercilessly trample you. So I'm assuming bruised ribs...or something.
  16. Also helps to put the cliff face to your left and open air to the right...and use the left and right keys to edge out and in from the cliff face thus dropping a bit at a time. Beware of fall damage because you can fall even if it looks like there's more to left key into.
  17. The Hoarder truly did make it a Hopeless Rescue Attempt- there's a wolf in the midst of my incredibly bright light!
