......I must admit.....I have a problem/addiction.....

Once I hit a TM I hardly leave.....I spent months there....

On my recent run I've done a pacifist & silent hunter....I've done a quick run to grab a backpack and crampons was about to leave ..... and guess what.... managed to kill moose with my single arrow (which I've lost on bloody wolf day later) so now I'm waiting to make sachel ..... HAPPY DAYS

I tend to get restless after a few days anywhere but twm is a lovely place.  I do like to stay at the summit for a few days and admire the view.🙂

Mountaineer's Hut is a fan favorite.  Great zone.

In all seriousness, Mountaineer's in  TWM's one of my strong faves, along with Bricklayer's (such great hunting there!), Foreman's Retreat, and the cave just across from the ice cave and the rope down to the Hushed River near the NW corner of the map in HRV.

One of my favorite places to camp out at, along with the camp office. The Mountaineer's Hut has been sort of the "base camp" for my latest stalker run.

It is one of my favorite places as well, especially for interloper run. There are plenty of sticks on every corner, a rabbit and deer spawn and a fishing hut nearby, 1 piece of wolf and bear meat per day unless reaching max level of cooking. Once you craft decent clothes, you can make your way up to the summit and loot whatever in there!

Yes, the mountaineers hut is a great base. Coal can be found in the cave at the engine and with that You can easily get rid of cabin fever risk fishing a day or two.
And then the occasional wolf to spice up the diet.

I'm a big fan of TM as well and spend at least 25% of my time there. Also a big fan of Carter Dam cuz lotsa loot, game, fuel, and relatively safe. For whatever reason, I really dislike Forlorn Muskeg...
