Not detecting firewood

I'm noticing lately that occasionally there will be a limb/log that won't bring up the prompt to be able to harvest it, I have to just leave it and move on to the next one.  Has anyone else noticed this?

This has been a bug for months that they have done nothing about.  EDIT- Or should I say, have failed to fix.  I posted on this issue clear back in September.

I never would chop firewood, until I just killed a moose and roasted it.  Yah!  There are a few of these around.  I don't know why.

Maybe they're too rotten to use/burn so we're not given the option

This seems pretty bad near the old spice homestead. 4 limbs I couldn't break down.

I only noticed it with branches there' one by the Spencer's farmstead behind the woodshed in the trees and one near the hunting lodge. Must have something to do with the mouse detection or it's a different object that doesn't have mouse detection.

Anyway, it seems to me that these unharvestable limbs are fresh drops. To harvest these, simply step indoors for a moment. Once you return to the limb, it should be harvestable.

I've noticed these too, but since they're harvestable after you hit a loading screen, haven't worried too much about it.  I only chop wood when I'm harvesting critters like deer and bear.  It keeps the wolves off and may (just may) prevent you from freezing.
