New Great Bear Island Map

The map seems to have greatly changed throughout the course of development.

Considering that I'm guessing the broken railway map is part of episode 2, I really wonder they would make such a dramatic change in direction.

Thank you very much for the new map!

In reference to the new map where do you start i.e. where is the crash location, and where is the town of Milton in reference to the other game maps. How do you get there and is Milton reachable from the Sandbox?

@Thrasador The map of Milton is represented by "Mountain Town" at the top left of the map. 

 

It's not reachable, as seen by the lock under the name. Therefore, as I am still on the early stages of giving Grey Mother some food, I do not know how the transition functions between the regions.

Where is the crash site in relation to Milton? South of it? West of it? Etc...

Can anyone detail the changes to Mystery Lake for me?

As previously stated, due to the fact that I am stuck finishing up Episode 1 in Milton and that it is unaccesible in Survival Mode, I cannot give you that answer. Although, I'm pretty sure that it's connected to the new Railway region.

Only things that have been changed are the inside/outside of the Hydro Dam, as well as the insides of the Cabin Office and the Lake Cabins.

And there's a little something extra on the train tracks midway between Carter Dam and the Derailment..

This is why having a full time job can be aggravating. I really shouldn't even be on the forums now as it is just torturing me.

As to the changes, they don't seem to be too drastic.  Almost like a difference between mercator and conic projections.

 

Just kinda wish I could really nail down which way is north....

Broken Railroad is a new map in Sandbox and Luminance Fugue.

Milton Mills represents the map in which the town of Milton is a part of.

As far as I know Milton and it's surrounds are not available in Sandbox yet.

Yes, Broken Railroad is open in Survival Mode, but Milton is not.

Wow, good to know - I'll definitely check out BR on Interloper as soon as I have a bit of spare time.

I know in story mode at least there's a cave next to the trappers cabin that connects to Milton. it's the one you come through after the end of episode 1 moving to episode 2.
