  1. I like this one, for whatever reason it feels especially lonely... Sam
  2. That's the name I was looking for! I knew they had a special name for them, couldn't remember exactly what they called it. I've always been fascinated by what the loggers came up with, camp 18 in oregon has a what used to be a 38 or 39 ford truck that is now a log skidder, it would put mad max to shame! there's a video of it on youtube, I'll put a link to it in a new topic in the survival and outdoor activities section. Sam
  3. Wait... 0:41 in the video, was that the toy tractor?!? My "prayers" have been answered! It's still on its side though... Hmmm... And 0:53, I recognize that shape in the distance, that's a speeder from a BC logging railroad, I can't remember which one, but I have an article in the now defunct Tall Timber Short Line about those units, very cool shop built stuff. They made several of them with old truck axles and other parts. Have you guys been to the museum at Duncan? I can't remember if they have one there or not. They have one of my favorite shay locomotives, she's just tiny, and someday I'll go visit. I am about to lose my mind here guys, this just keeps getting better and better and better, keep it up! Sam
  4. I just bought myself a sporterized .303 Enfield a few weeks ago, ran the numbers and it dates back to WW1! This is an interesting one too, it was made for the British army by Remington in the US of A. Initially, I was looking at .22's and 30-06's, but I just kept coming back to it. And the more I looked at it, the more I liked it. It's a solid gun and it was the nicest rifle I could get for the price. The bolt action felt great, the barrel was in decent shape and it has iron sights. The "odd" caliber and the history of it added to it's appeal, I like old oddball stuff for some reason. I finally got to go out and shoot it last week and now I like it even more, but if anyone knows where I can get cheap .303 rounds, let me know...
  5. Now if our fuel requirements were drastically increased... That would change things completely! No more massive inside temp bonus and no fire, you freeze! Sam
  6. I agree, but I think something light like a bowsaw would be a bit "overpowered" and make things a bit too easy, how about something like a splitting maul? The brutal weight of the thing would wear you out pretty quick and I sure wouldn't want to lug it with me everywhere I went. My personal preference is a double bitted ax, but I think it has the same issues as the bowsaw, it would make things too easy. Just my $0.02 Sam
  7. I agree, it would be nice to re hang the doors, or at least get rid of them, and clean up the place a bit. That toy tractor that's flipped over on the floor upstairs really bugs me too, it just adds to the sadness like that, I just want to flip it back over and set it on the self... Sam
  8. That's right, you stay out there! Camping out at the three strikes farmstead, that fire burnt continuously for 36 hours! Sam
  9. The gameplay is great, but I think my favorite thing about it is the art style. So it's not just fun to play, it's fun to look at! Sam
