atomic
I looked it up on steam, I've started my adventure almost exactly 5 years ago - 26.11.2017 What became my main char was not my first try, oh no It took me a bit to learn what's important to survive on GB-Island. Meanwhile I've managed to roam around for 1038 days, 17 h, 48 mins on pilgrim, which is not a big achievement. But it was a huge and still relaxing adventure for me. I will not remember all the times my char broke his ankles, but I will remember the first time he met the moose. I loved it once I've found the way to go from FM to MT. I love and hate Forlorn Muskeg. I've loved to discover HRV, which I was really afraid of, step by step. Ash Canyon was also a nice adventure, where I've almost lost my main char. Now, still on exploration mission through Blackrock, my char is at Old Substation in Blackrock. Now with the update which will end my old save, where can I go to end the story - before I start a new one (of course!). Shall I take him to a) where it all began, in ML office, sit next to the oven and watch the flames go out? b) choose a "romantic" end by going to the top of the lighthouse in Desolation Point and accept the elements powers? c) do the last climb to Timberwolf Mountain and take the final, desperate step into the long dark?
hozz1235
Didn't vote because I'm not going to end it. Time capsule is always an option.
wilsonaka
For you to only give 3 options, I'd say A. Personally, I'm jumping off the rail bridge the day before the DLC release since all saves will be gone anyway.

Nothing is being deleted, you can still play them via the time capsule. They just won't work with the new version.

Because of limited time I'm almost sure that I won't go back to my old main save or any of the other old saves. This update is actually a good chance for me to close the book on my old main, say goodbye and build a new one in the updated version🙂 1

Do you mean the wooden bridge in the Ravine? Yes, that a nice spot for an end too!
theisaactrain
I think jumping into the river at Black Rock could also be a fun way to end it.
Leeanda
How about wolf's jaw overlook? I do like the idea of ending where it all began though.
Pınar51-06
For these three options, ı choose Camp Office because ı love that place. But my Astrid fade into the long dark yesterday by jumping off the ravine.
atomic
My char went to the montaneer's hut, where he spent half a week enjoying what has been stored there. The journey was delayed by the usual blizzard. Finally it was time to start the journey to the summit. He took it easy and after two days he reached the summit. Sun welcomed him up there. It was time to prepare the end by harvesting all the wood available to start some bonfires. One of the nights brought a beautyful aurora... Is it it? I think it's the right place, but I have 2 days left. Maybe i should go and pay a visit to the lighthouse and ML home... I don't know, we'll see what tomorrow brings...
atomic
I had an idea to end it from the summit of Timber Wolf Mountain. I see that most would go back to where it all began in ML. So alright, I decided to light up the summit and go back to ML. Unfortunately the weather did not make it easy for my char and blew my bonfires just minutes after I started them. Days passed and slowly food got a bit rare up there. Finally a beautyful morning started. Time to light up the skies OK, so now a fast retreat to the mountaneers hut hoping for a nice sight. Unfortunately it was not as beautyful as I had imagined... One can barely see the fires my char's set up there. Then fog came and you couldn't see it at all. Just a few minutes before the fires were about to die the fog lifted a bit... So now let's visit Pleasant Valley. Reached the preper chache but decided to fight the upcoming storm. After reaching the draft dodger's cabin it took me some minutes to push for the farm house - now that it "does not matter anymore"... It came as I suppoused, fog set in. I was happy to see the trees of the orchard north of the farm house. Uff Enjoyed my last stay in the farm house. Spent a night to defreeze and get my char's clothes dry. Winding river is the next target. After reaching the Carter Dam I could not believe I forgot this dramatic spot. The ledge where I always was afraid to make a false step. But up there I saw the wolf getting a rabbit. Hm, no, my char won't become wolffood So let's pass the dam a last time and follow the railtracks to the office... atomic
I took this path a thousand times, so it was the usual relaxing walk in the park. Went upstairs, where I said hallo to my buddy, the corpse. After I've lit the fire to warm up a bit, and sat there, cowering in the corner, I knew it's not the right time and place to say goodbye. I still have a lot of time left And I've also seen that nobody voted for an end in the DP's lighthouse So off with my char, to chatch some fish, I haven't done it in a while. My char caught more fish than he could carry. He took what he could and went for the final meal in the office. Right after breakfast... it was time to say goodbye to the office. A last look at the spectacular wooden trestle bridge. I've realised I forgot to take the flare gun on my char's last journey. I hoped it would be at Quonset, it was on my way anyway. But unfortunately it was not there. I've enjoyed my last time with this char on the coastal highway, left it behind and settled down at the abandoned Harris' house.
atomic
Reached the light house, lit it up with flares, went outside to make a last picture. It was really cosy up there... The storm faded away and it was time for the last supper. The skies cleared up, windless. I hope my char would make it to enjoy the sunset a last time, but then it all went quicker than I thought... ...tried to light up the oil lamp, but that was too much and he faded into the long dark.
