Oscar Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 Hi there, It would be great if we can use the workbench drawer to store only crafting items, which we could use directly from there when crafting. No longer need to have them in inventory, but there, in the drawer? Not a priority, but it will feel more immersive in a sense.
EternityTide Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 This is a great idea. Also means that you lose fractionally less fatigue when crafting than if you were holding all the equipment in your inventory.
cekivi Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Excellent idea @Oscar and welcome to the forums!
akodo1 Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 That's a good idea. Of course I'd want BIGGER DRAWERS then.
Wastelander Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Excellent idea! Maybe we could give the workbenches some sort of 'item radius' in which it will automatically use every item both on the ground and in containers. That way, the red tool containers in CH's Quonset Gas Station would become immensely useful (right now, I store scrap metal and trash in them)

It would be so that when you klick the workbench for crafting, the menu would offer you crafting material both from your inventory and from the workbench drawer/container, right? Maybe while giving an indication which item is where.
Mikhail_Reign Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 I'm 50% sure that toolboxes that are needed while crafting are retreived from that draw when required. I swear I've done some crafting and then noticed a used toolbox in my inven, and I keep my toolboxes in the draw in crafting benches
