  1. Is an overhaul of the firestarting system still planned? It's mentioned in the steam store page but not in the roadmap.
  2. It sounds like they are more substantial: https://www.thelongdark.com/expansion/ > Unique, custom versions of existing in-game items, each with a history and its own special tuning. Special versions of Rifles, Bows, Knives, Hatchets, Lanterns, certain Clothing, etc., to be found in the hidden corners of the world. Also seems like theyre trying to give us lots of ways to find them: Shortwave Radio, Visor Notes and the Trader. Edit: added link
  3. It was funny seeing a timberwolf as the first thing in the trailer since I know so many people dont like them. Im glad though!! I like the challenge!
  4. The "Far Territory" with a "long and treacherous journey" to get to it isnt going to be squished in between a few regions we already have. Its going to be "far" away. Probably wont even be on the overworld map we have now, theyll update it to show further.
  5. Yeah I agree, they'll want less experienced players to be able to find the path to the Far Territory, and what better way to do that than by letting players follow the rail line to Broken Railroad?
  6. Boars would be fun! Scary, but rewarding. And I think they'd fit that scenery well
  7. insomnia is listed as paid-stream only but burdock is in the free update. fun idea: All of the Far Range gives you insomnia just for being there. Burdock can be used for soups and caloric benefit, but also helps with insomnia. This would encourage going around the map digging up burdock before heading out to the Far Range.
  8. Probably just reskins of existing tools. Which Im still pretty excited about.
  9. I think the bolt cutters are used in episode 4. im curious about the shovel though
  10. I think it will be connected to Broken Railroad. I think it'll just go west and they'll revise the world map to show further that way. I think the End of the Road will lead to Perseverence Mills, maybe with a region in between
  11. Woah I hadn't seen that image 😮 it must have been part of a press release they sent out to news sites or something. I love the twisted new trees.
  12. Im sure thats something they've considered when deciding on this approach to the DLC. Its probably part of why all the new regions are going to be far away, so that they can add more regions in other directions without having to rely on us having the "in-between" regions.
