Interloper is my favorite and i am a newb to N.O.G.A. which i wanted to play full time after my 1000 days on interloper. I agree. a week ago i lost my 748 day loper Astrid in Broken railroad - 3 wolfs killed me bcoz i was to greedy and sure of myself. Currently playing Will on day 94. I will make it to 1000 this time (oh i hope) and then N.O.G.O.A all the way.

Nothing changed for me. I lost my Loper Astrid day 748 recently and loaded a day 14 will - currently day 94 and wildlife is plenty everywhere. I even got a moose on day 18 near trappers cabin. The rare spawn. I play on xbox.

Nice base Zak mine looked very similar - i hoarded stuff to Trappers from the entire map. Had like 200 coal there and more. Unfortunately i tried to reach 1000 days looper as well and a week ago died out of my stupidity on day 748 in Broken railroad due to 2 wolf attacks. (my stupidity was drinking plum vodka with my father and when he left home i decided "to play a bit", logged in and went outside maintenance shed. There were 3 wolf outside so i decide to kill them. Killed first one and got jumped by 2nd. went back to shed and instead of healing i went imediately outside to finish them. Killed the 2nd wolf and got jumped by third - misclicked and chose knife instead of axe and .......got eaten by the damn wolf. Sooo stupid of me. R.I.P. Astrid) Anyway on my 2nd run now with Will this time on day 78 and looking great. Have all crafted clothes, bear coats x 2, earwrappings, bacpack, crampons, moose satchel and a lot of matches, cooking lvl 5 and so on. Still looking for the 2nd pair of underpants but cant find any. Had only one pair in first run as well and never found the 2nd or the woolen ones sheesh, hard to get. Gonna get the 1000 days i hope - nevertheless im having so much fun and if i die again i have a 11 day Astrid with bow crafted waiting for her time Keep on surviving Zak !

Oh i see now. Spraypaint - i know all maps by hear , every detail so i dont need it. Even on Looper i think Noissmakers are usless as well so yeah.

I dont remeber the bear to be there in story but in survival its the bears route and its normal for him beeing there - thats good bcoz if not You would eat only wolf meat while stayingthere to w8 for aurora. Its true that they respawn very fast but thats ok foodwise i guess. I tend to harvest meat off every wolf i can and leave wolf meat stacks lying around. The biggest wolf meat stack i have is in TWM Mountaneers - about twohundred kilos or so

I have to strongly disagree. Antiseptic and mushrooms are a LIFE SAVER. They saved my 610 looper character countless times. Over the run i had 2 stomach parasites (that is 40 reishi teas for you for one infection) not to mention heat and calories wise but i tend to save them when i get infected and keep em in every base i have. I use antiseptic all the time bcoz i get bit by a bear or wolf when i fail to shoot them or get mauled by bear (a week ago BORIS the bear mauled me even with 2 arrows in his head). Most usless imo? Purification tablets and spraypaint.

Wow insane long fires - Congratz on this. I myself dont like to stay in one place for longer times so my longest firre is 83 hours - just enough for acheivement. Actually if you know the blackrock map it is so easy to move thru it avoiding the wolves. Enter via TWM go to the cabin in foremans clearcut just near your exit point, get warm and go to cooks farm (behind the cabin where the terrain goes down) and then pass the bridge (you can see it when ur in cooks farm) and then look to ur right there will be a climbing spot there (not the rope one, the branches one) and ur in the canyon. Go North and use the tree bridge and short rope and ur almost at the prison. I move there back and forth without any trouble. When you see wolves patrolling near just try to avoid them or get inside and w8 for some time. The foremans cabin is a good hiding spot. GL on ur fishing - i myslef have massive fish stacks gathered by the fishing hut - just left my 100 day stay in Mountaneers yday and went to other region. Overall i caught 1,444 kilos of fish

When i finally decided to play survival mode ( thx to Zak's videos bcoz i only played Wintermute) i started with Voyager untill day 250 when i learned the maps. Then i made 3 interloper runs and saved it after i got the bow on each run> Day 16, day 14 and day 11 in each run. I did that for fututre - if i die i will have a fresh run ready with the bow already made i said to myself. Thanks to intensive training i had watching all of Zaknafeims videos i learned a lot of usefull stuff and guess what im still on that first run day 600 and havent touched the remaining two runs yet. Had a bad start with the first run - got parasites on day 30ish and had to stay in one region for 20 days before i went to loot the world. Had overall about 4 or 5 near death situations but i managed it somehow - it was very very close tho !! Yesterday i finished my 100 day in Timber Wolf Mountain and my base in this region (Mountaneers hut) is packed !!! Today i will move to Pleasant Valley (have 28 days there) to live untill 100 but first i visit my main base in Mystery Lake to drop some stuff i gathered in TWM, go to coastal/crumbling/Bleak to beachcomb and finally go thru coal mine to pleasant valley with all the coal i gather in the mine. So yeah that is the plan for next days. Damn this game is so good.

Nah i managed it just by a thread Still living currently day 590 ^^ in Blackrock region atm. I dont like to stay in one place so i give myself goals like travel there to gather all the coal bring it to bases, beachcomb Coastal, Crumbling and Desolation, hunt specific amount of hides...Currently want to accomplish at least 100 days in every one region in the game and have lots of fun doing it even that experienced and stacked with goods. Before i went to Blackrock i was in Ash cannon for a week or so to setr up a big base but BORIS the bear had other plans and i had to flee with clothes thorn to TWM for repairs. Happy times

No one should be antagonized by the way they play any game period. But by my exp playing TLD on Pilgrim or Voyager is not as fun as looper simply bcoz the game is so easy it gets boring because there is no challenge in it what so ever. My first run was Voyager only to learn the maps before i go into looper. I played for 250 days and at the end of the run i had so many guns, ammo, clothes and other items that there was no point playing longer, no actual challenge. I could literally cross the world without starting a single fire (unless blizzard hit). Looper tho is fun fun fun and scary sometimes so many things can happen and when u feel comfortable the game will want to kill you and by the time you know it ur in trouble (most recent close to death: day 481 i accidentally eat rancid uncoocked wolf meat and got food poisoning and parasites which is bad on looper and it demands 20 days of curing with reishi or antibiotics with ur health and stamina going lower each day to a point you cant climb or travel longer distances, didnt have any reishi on me or biotics and was in desolation point with reishi harvested in almost all of the regions stored in main base 3 zones apart + blizzard hit - managed it by a thread) and that is exciting. I encourage all players to try looper but if you like playing Pilgrim is ur choice and its fine. Personally im starting a N.O.G.O.A.(basically super hard looper mode with no health regeneration) run for even greater challenge.

Knowing the terrain is a matter of life and death in TLD especially on higher difficulty modes. When i started my survival mode in TLD (at first i played only story) i wanted to start a looper run and died on day one. Then i saw Zaknafeim's YT channel where he said something like dont go looper until you know the maps so i started a Voyager run and played it till day 250. I used map a few times to know where points of interest are but after 250 days i knew all regions more or less. After that i started a looper run and have been successful till now, day 559 and know the terain very very well. I guess looking at map if ur in a bad situation is ok. Never used loot tables tho and never will.

Well i play on xbox so i guess all saves are in cloud anyway. There should be nothing wrong with the saves after you validate u own a copy. I too play in game pass since i started and have my 550ish day looper character which i dont want to loose like that. Glad i have a boxed copy of TLD - bought it to support the game i so much like - i guess its time to unbox it
