  1. Some spraypaint is highly reflective, it would practically glow in both natural and artificial light. It would be nice to have more symbols, i think it would be really cool if there were more colors of spraypaint as well, i'd personally love it if we could overlap the symbols. I wanna make a mural on the wall of my base late game, just to add variety to the days ya know?
  2. You can eat 0% ruined dog food. How is that any more eddible then a ruined potato? At that temperature the potato is more likely to freeze then rot, everything just degrades so fast, except for cattails and the other gathered food. I thought any veggies added would degrade at the same rate as them,
  3. i have found that one, for me it was in mystry lake but idk if its random or set spawn. the one i found the gold in was in ash canyon... i dont think it had a speficic name or anything... it wasnt abandoned cache, but it also wasnt prepared cache? im sorry i dont remember more
  4. so here i was yelling about missing a number on the safe and then I FINALLY CRACK IT AND THERES A FREAKING GOLD NUGGET INSIDE!!! i dont know when they added this but ive never found one before, im going to keep it as a good luck charm even if it's basically useless. oh! almost forgot, i found it in the preppers cache in Ash canyon, it was behind some metal shelves in a safe hidden by crates and cardboard.
  5. hey, question but um... how come we can still use ruined broth to cook but cant use ruined potatoes or carrots or other stuff? i wanted to make the stew thing but it took me freaking ages to find canned corn and by the time i did my potatoes were ruined and it wouldnt let me cook with them i understand that it's a ruined potatoe but i had level 5 cooking! you can still cook ruined raw meat why cant i cook a ruined potato??
  6. personally i like the harvest animation... but when your trying to break down a carcass into the smallest sizes possible that animation gets boring really quickly. plus it makes the butchering of pretty much everything take FOREVER. i spent about 10 minuets extra just waiting for the animation to end while i was cutting up a bear carcass into itty bitty bits. some of thoes bits i didnt even get because i somehow managed to get 0.1 kg and it just vanished instead of going into my invintory. i think the harvest animation should happen the first time you break down a carcass and then it should go back to the little wheel thing.
  7. anyone know how we pitch our idea's to hinterland? i mean i know there's this place but is there anything else? like a more offical suggestions box?
  8. old fashioned flour mills often run along river courses with a water wheel to power them, i could see something like that being added to the game eventually, you wouldnt even need the aurora to run it so long as you kept it mostly free of ice. considering it seems to be a relitively modern comunity without a big focus on farming though i doubt we'll see any flour mills old fashioned or otherwise. a lumber mill on the other hand...
  9. fun fact, if that hay was grown for animal feed then it's extremely likely that there's a lot of other types of grasses in there besides wheat, this includes the seeds of a ton of different weeds which if ingested by humans could have a number of adverse effects. such as hallucinations, constipation, and possibly even death. Ergot for example is extremely common fungus in rye, it causes paranoia, hallucinations, spasms and erratic behaviours. a lot of historians actually believe that an Ergot infestation is what eventually led to the Salem witch trials you can use acorns to make flour, i think it's what they use to make gluten free flour but im not 100% sure.
  10. i agree completly, jerky should be a thing, as should smoked fish. i also wish we could use the oven when the aurora was going on, you can dry meat (when it's cut into thin strips) in a few hours when you got the oven on the lowest setting, the aurora usually lasts a couple so it would work... if you timed it right. food decay is seriously way too op right now, for the meat espically. i mean, ITS FREEZING. if you have it stored inside an have a fire constantly going thats one thing. but if you have it outside in temps like this it's gonna be fine. vegetables are the same, keep them in a cool dry place and they can last for MONTHS before even starting to go bad. i know it's a videogame but i wish that aspect was a bit more realistic
  11. i dont know if this was a glitch but i nearly had a heart attack, i was minding my own business, going through the ice cave in hushed river valley to AVOID the wolves an bears an stuff, when all of a sudden i turn a corner and a wolf is growling right in my freaking face. i had no weapon, thank the stars i was using a flare to light my way cause if i had a lantern i woulda been dead. has this always been a thing? was i just really lucky before? was it a glitch? part of the new update? somebody tell me PLEASE!!!
  12. if you added taps into the game we could make our own homemade maple syurp, it's not super difficult. you take your maple sap (basically natural sweet water) boil it for several hours an boom you have syurp! we could even reuse the maple syurp bottles already in game an just make them fillable like the jerrycan.
  13. Odizzido, even though the game takes place in modern day Scurvy is still something you can get. it's actually a pretty common thing, during the last world war when brittan had a blockade of uboats surrounding it scurvy was a serious risk because they didnt have a ton of stuff high in vitiman c growing there. they actually came to depend on things like rosehips because of their high vitiman c content. without modern day transportation of fruits and veggies Great Bear has a very limited supply of things that have vitiman C... and i just reread the first part of your post so now i seem like a condesending prick... pine tea sounds like a great idea
  14. sorry to bother you guys but i just realized this an thought it was weird. there is one by the moose spawn, another on top of the mountain, then two attached to the back bit of the plane, not to mention the two attached to the front bit of plane in pleasant valley. it's not a huge detail but once you notice it it's weird. in wintermute it's fine cause you dont go to timberwolf and see all the extra parts but in survival... it just doesnt make sense. the proportions of the crashed plane, also dont make sense, unless it's two planes? maybe you could color one diffrent to seperate them?
  15. it'd be awesome if we could make bags to hold stuff like rosehips, stones, charcoal, feathers, its a pain in the butt when after you drop them you have to pick them up one by one but there's like 400 of them so it takes you 5 minuets. i was thinking it could be another use of cured rabbit hide, have them hold... 5ish pounds? they shouldn't be an equipable item like the moose hide satchel, more like something you could craft when your out an about, or maybe you could make a bunch at a crafting table (stackable only when empty) and as your wandering about they would fill up as you collected the tiny items (1 type of item per pouch) they'd be reusable too, just empty them back into your regular inventory or into another container and keep the bag on your person
