  1. That's true, I'm still waiting for the day they add collision model to deer. I want to be knocked down by deer that run head on to me.
  2. Damn, it's gonna be a bad day for the rabbits on the jackrabbit island (my retirement home). Hope I don't get bored too soon!
  3. Interesting... I've never tried hunting a deer with a revolver as I assumed if it fails to one shot wolves reliably at level 5, it probably isn't a good weapon to hunt deer. Then there's always bleed out mechanic so all you need is just wait out for it to die but I prefer a clean kill with a bow (one shot usually if you aim head or chest). And I feel there's more than enough resources for arrows before I stopped playing my long run out of boredom so I never really bother that much to save arrows anyway.
  4. My long Voyager run started with the intention to get Silent Hunter achievement (first 50 days without firing any guns) so I got myself a bow and kinda banned myself from using firearms even if I find them. Now at day 500+, a bow with 5 arrows and a loaded flare gun are pretty much the only ranged weapons that I carry around (even if I'm venturing into BI). IMO the rifle, while pretty strong even at lower levels, is way too heavy to be carried around. As for the revolver, I find it to be only good at scaring away timberwolves as it's pretty weak even at level 5. The bow has good damage, is incredibly light (a bow with 5 arrows is still lighter than an unloaded revolver) and is very reliable at killing a charging wolf. So to me it's the perfect weapon to carry around on day to day basis for both hunting and defense. And of course, also a loaded flare gun which only weighs 0.45kg to stop a charging bear or moose.
  5. Happened to me too just last night while I was collecting my last few cairns in PV. I didn't even notice the game wasn't even saving until I was in mountaineer's hut in TWM after I cleared PV. Had to close the game via task manager in the end and lost about an hour of irl time. It's a bug from the recent update and hopefully they fixed it soon, but for now the only way is to force quit the game as soon as you notice your progress isn't being saved to prevent any more time wasted.
  6. They're usually found in areas that are off the beaten path and honestly not that hard to find if you take some time exploring each region. Each birch sapling gives you 3 arrowshafts, with each arrowshaft you can have about 3-4 bow shots before the arrow breaks. So that's already around 12 bow shots from a single birch sapling.
  7. Yes, in my current save I have 2 sets of duplicate polaroids for both Bleak Inlet and Forlorn Muskeg (excluding the one corresponding to another vista in FM so I have like 3 polaroids just for FM).
  8. Can't remember all the locations of them but I do remember finding one or two inside vehicles around CH-CrH-DP.
