Occasionally get sound  dropping to almost nothing except I can still hear Astrid walking normally.

Is this just happening randomly throughout the entire playthrough?

I know that this can happen in the new region.

(Spoiler contains a key aspect of the new dlc region, just in case anyone doesn't want it spoiled)

    Spoiler

Poisonous gas for some reason makes ambient sound very quiet when walking through it without a respirator

Why not let us goat down there and just die from exposure or hunger or something instead of instant death?

Especially now that you can actually escape from The Ravine by going through Bleak Inlet, so why not just let us Mountain Goat down, sprain every ankle and wrist, and have to go the long way around for not just being patient and looking for a rope?

  3. This sounds fantastic! It would make sorting and decorating amazing! They already do something similar with ammo, with singular cartidges being able to be placed on their own, whilst more than one gets a box of ammo. I can feel my need to organize screaming for this!

  4. Day 99 on stalker, I had started a forge run in Desolation Point. However, I quickly realized I had ran completely out of food, and was going to start starving soon. So, I had my rifle, plenty of ammo, and there would be no issues getting food. So, hunting is the quickest way to get adequate food for the rest of my forging activities, and there are plenty of animals around, so, which did I choose?

There are already 40 wolves in Desolation Point, could easily kill one, and cook it.

There are a few dear, especially on that isolated island past the Riken.

There is always that bear, that would allow me to stay for nearly a month in DP without needing food.

So which option did I choose?

How about going into Scruffy's cave, and try stealing the deer corpse that was in there?

It gets worse, even though I had a rifle, and plenty of bullets, I decided that I wasn't going to shoot him, just light a torch, and slip past, before making a fire.

Scruffy ended my run right then and there, and if he survived the stab wounds, Scruffy was likely feeling well fed by the end of that day.

Definitely my dumbest death in the game that wasn't intentional, and constantly looked back at this dumb death to set a precedent on what not to do going on. Needless to say, I'm on Day 203 of Stalker now, and that death was definitely a lesson I needed to learn.

  5. Yeah, whilst it is cute that the ptarmigans are surfing through the snow, I've had some issues with hunting them like this. Because their entire body is in the ground most of the time, I can only really go for headshots, and headshots are extremely difficult when using rocks in the early game, so where I would have hit their body, and stunned them, I often just hurt the snow, and scare the entire flock away. Even then, if they are really sunken into the snow, I've stunned them with a rock, and they just completely sink beneath it, and I can't grab them whilst they are stunned.

So, whilst it's cute, definitely brings more problems that make hunting them a bit frustrating.

  6. Random thought I had about the respirator that'll come in the next update, maybe it will also protect us from the poisonous gas in the Blackrock mines, so you won't have to rush through, after dropping all of your items at the front entrance in order to not suffocate.

  7. My greedy brain is kicking in, gotta find multiple Curator rifles, collect all loose piles of cash, everything valuable! Give it all to the trader, buy all cooking ingredients possible, then make a feast that'll have enough calories to last you till summer!

I don't know why I've gotten so greedy lmao, cash isn't even worth anything XD

  8. Agreed, once you get the blueprint by finding one, and collect all of the materials, there really isn't any limitation in crafting noisemakers that require the ammunition workbench. I mean, it's just a can filled with gunpowder, then tied together with some cloth.

Maybe as a compromise, your effectiveness with crafting noisemakers could be tied to your gunsmithing level. At level one, you can only make them at a ammunition workbench, as your character isn't comfortable enough to handle gunpowder at a regular workbench. But maybe a unique perk given to you at level 3 is the ability to make them at any workbenches.

Maybe at level 5, you can just make noisemakers anywhere, without the need for a workbench. Would give the gunsmithing skill a little more use in my opinion.

Maybe there will be a Halloween Miracle. Gift from the Great Pumpkin. We only have to believe.

I'd be happy with even a simple repeat of a previous 4DON. Sadly, I started playing the game when 4DON started to die off, and besides the Escape The Darkwalker event, I've only experienced 1 unique 4DON.

It's a bit of a long shot, but maybe one day they could add Custom Difficulty settings to create your own version of 4DON, that would be neat.

  10. I remember when the Barn in PV was like this, it'd be broad daylight, but the inside of the barn was pitch black. They fixed it after a while, and you can actually see in there during the day now, probably because it was such a common location to visit.
