Here's everything I found in Desolation Point: that's nice! sweet 3 standing books, too. I take you carried each of these individually except the skill books. Do the standing combine or do they corrupt combine and become the sunny cover of the encyclopedia sets? curious if there would be more books in Pilgrim mode? btw, are you gonna be transiting all these back to PV now? whew... that's like 10 trips if I'm doing the math right. I didn't chance it with the standing books, and treated them like the others, one in my backpack, one curling along in front. Screenshot Pilgrim
I set up a nice field camp on the Old Island Connector, with meat in the car trunk and gear in the basement. I've also got a pretty good cache of meat outside the mine at the Desolation Point end. Wolves were really aggressive while I was there, so I ended up with dead deer and rabbits, plus wolf meat. Also had two close calls with the bear near Hibernia. Had to bolt for the mine across the road and heard it chasing, so glad to have my sprinting at 81%.
Screenshot Pilgrim
The nautical section is growing fast with the addition of the Desolation Point books. I've got two more ship books to bring back. The wolves and bears are making the trips interesting at least. Revolver and rifle skills are on the rise. Screenshot Pilgrim
My favorite part of the trip to Desolation Point is going downhill from Cinder Hills mine to the Coastal Townsite.

Karl Grylls
Ah this one. I remember that i knew the cave already before, but not the secret in it. I was really exited when i found it. But it's sad too

piddy3825
Books got me chasing the side quests within side quests now... Here's another for the library found this in one of Joplin's bunkers I wish they would port these over into survival mode. I'd collect them that's for sure 1
Screenshot Pilgrim
Leaving the Farmstead to fetch the last two books from Desolation Point, I was lucky to drive some deer through an opening in the fence and across the road. A wolf was waiting and ran one of them down for a kill on the roadway. I wounded the wolf, which died on the river ice behind the farm. I continued on with my book errand, then harvested both and had a cookout on the next night. Well stocked at the Farmstead, I spent several days at Pensive Pond before travelling to Mystery Lake via the Winding River. piddy3825
Here you go... 4th and final book of the Tall Tales Series I kinda wish there were more books like this in game. Maybe a couple per region? Timberwolf Mountain could have the story of the Canadian Yeti or better yet Hushed River Valley with tales of the Wendigo! 2

It would be worth trying for a screenshot of them all together. Maybe on the bench in front of the fireplace. I think by the time I've got the Farmhouse Library completed, I'll probably have to make a short video, surveying all the rooms. I doubt I'll be able to get them all in one screenshot. Screenshot Pilgrim
While gathering all the books and papers in Mystery Lake to the rear exit of the Carter Dam, I was searching high and low for a prepper cache. I had the last book on the way back, and was almost ready to give up looking, but then I tried one more slope.. No books inside, but there were some newspapers, tools and other useful things. A lot of sprains this week.

I had the same thought of bringing them altogether but the idea didn't pan out. sorry

Hidden away and preserved for future generations... at least you gotta a lotta tools out of there, eh?

The bunkers are small, but if you didn't care about the book covers, and were just packing them for safe storage, it could work. It would be a faster way to get some overall numbers too. Screenshot Pilgrim
Everything I could find in the Mystery Lake region - 27 books, plus 10 skill books. To get them out with covers intact, I have to set one outside the door, then walk across the dam to go in the window, then back through inside to grab another one. Then it's curling time back through Winding River to Pleasant Valley. It's not a bad trip, but I have to watch out for a bear on the PV side of the caves.
Screenshot Pilgrim
During my Mystery Lake searching, I got the Coffee Badge. During this challenge, I've been using up freely the coffee and tea, saving stims and energy drinks for the longer trips I'll be taking later. I've also changed my clothing setup a bit. Found mukluks, so figured the extra warmth and durability was worth the small hit to sprinting. Also, switched to wool underwear for better warmth since carry weight hasn't been much of an issue. Multiple trips to and from means I can spread out any gear hauling I want to do. I patched the clothes screen onto my pause page to show the feats I'm using as well. Fire master of course, plus some endurance feats.

At this point, I'm leaving a lot of that kind of stuff behind. There are more than enough whetstones already for me to keep my original knife and hatchet sharp until the end of this. I have some extra tools, toolboxes, and various other things for display purposes, so don't see the need to carry back any more. Jerry cans and lanterns might be the exception. Been taking most of those back or at least making note of where they are.
Screenshot Pilgrim
Storm frequency seems to have increased lately, though I haven't kept track like I sometimes do. I've had to use my Pensive Pond food station to ride out a few now, even though it's really not far from the Farmstead.
