MarrowStone
Ive noticed something odd about the trees: If an animal is partially or fully covered by a tree, you can see the silhouette of them through the tree to a certain point, ive been able to locate wolves, rabbits and deer even in dense fog (at an increased distance). KinoUnko
I see it on Steam version too. Just chalked it up to a render side effect. they're not visible through the entire tree, just around the edge.
MarrowStone
Thank you for the screenshots, @Asti0. It seems to be all platforms then. I use steam on windows 10.
JAFO
It's a graphics setting called SSAO that causes it. It's supposed to add shading to the edges of objects, but what it does is make the edges semi-transparent. I turned mine down to 'medium' so that it's not such a distraction. The Wanderer
Sorry, I'm not really seeing anything in the screenshots. What am I supposed to be looking at? Are you talking about that smudgy thing above your left hand?

Yes, the little grey spot in the middle of the second screeshot is a bear silhouette Thanks @JAFO for the hint
MarrowStone
Even if its a graphical bug it should probably be fixed. Thanks @JAFO for the temporary work-around and discovering the source, how did you find that out? I felt like i was cheating whenever i saw predators or prey through them long distances away in the fog.
