is bunkers only on starvation mode?

i found one in starvation mode, but not in the middle level mode, i looked on all locations i remember in mystery lake and i found none, maybe make bunkers come in middle level mode also?

The prepper caches? They're in every mode, as far as I know, but only in Mystery Lake and Pleasant Valley so far. There's something like 8 possible locations in ML, so you probably missed it.

By Starvation Mode, do you mean Stalker? Bunkers are found in all three modes.

But what I asked myself: do they spawn when doing a Challenge? I only checked known places that were on my route without detour when doing a challenge but I never encountered a bunker there.

So far I've found a bunker everytime by the rope up to Timberwolf Mountain.  Don't know if that one is fixed, or if it was just luck.

I saw a video of someone finding a bunker during the Hunted challenge, in the location right by the start, so yeah, it looks like they do spawn during the challenges. However, unless it's like that one, where it's right in front of you, I don't see where it would be worth looking for them during a challenge.

did not know there was in other regions also cool maybe i should look for that next time i play it. yes prepper cache and yes stalker mode

its not easy too find them prepper caches maybe make a map too find 1

There are very detailed maps of every region with all known possible spawn points, just ask google for "the long dark [insert_place_here] map" - but be warned, using maps takes away alot of the magic in TLD

Note: to the best of my knowledge the bunker at the foot of Timberwolf Mountain is always there. I've never not seen it when wandering through. I can also confirm that the bunker is there for the Hopeless Rescue challenge.

Yep, as cekivi points out, that bunker location at the foot of the rope is fixed, unlike all the other bunker spawns which will shift from game to game. We see it as a useful waypoint when traveling between regions.

Seems that a Hacksaw is also always to be found there.

As both @cekiviand @Patrick Carlson have already pointed out, the bunker below the TWM rope is present in every game including challenges.  It's only the other bunkers (named prepper's cache a-f ) which are randomized.
