  1. Pre-made arrows can already be found around the many regions of TLD in the easier dificulties. but I was thinking about adding other kinds of pre-made arrows, such as carbon arrows like used with a manufactured bow. these better arrows would have broadheads, aka hyper sharp high penetrating arrowheads, these arrows would be signifigantly more durable than the arrows you craft. losing 1% durability hitting the snow, 5% hitting an animal, and 20% hitting a rock, there could be other arrowheads as well such as field points for practice and gaining archery skill that are more damage resistant but can only kill rabbits, and small game heads for rabbits and wolves. They could also add modern hunting bows that use pulleys and/or crossbows both of which would do more shock than the survival bow, and do more bleed than guns, be repairable with a tool kit, with their arrows lasting signifigantly longer than crafted arrows, but these carbon arrows would be very rare and their heads would be more common, and would be interchangable, say you had one carbon arrow shaft and you want to use a broadhead, but the shaft already has a small game head on it, you could just change it out. you could repair the heads with a whetstone but the shafts would break after ~25 shots (50 if using field points) and cannot be repaired. Another cool addition is a quiver, increasing bow reload speed to almost match rifle fire rate. you can find one or craft one using a cured deer hide and a cured gut. The modern bow/crossbow, and pre-made quivers would not appear on interloper mode, while the carbon arrow shafts and their heads would be extremely rare (~2 or 3 shafts per game, 4 or 5 heads per game) Broadhead arrow head Small Game arrow head Field point arrowhead Carbon arrow shafts
  2. Maybe make it where you have to spend 5 days 18 hours a day indoors, in a row before you get it instead of 3 days 16 hours a day in a row.
  3. Has anyone got a boat yet? i'm curious what's inside them.
  4. Had some food problems but I’m working them out, once I get well fed back, and make all my animal clothes, then I’ll head to ash canyon so I can get the crampons and tactical backpack.
  5. Hunted a bear just now and killed it, now I’m going to quarter it and bring it back to the camp office. IMG_0113.MOV I also found the wolf with my arrow still in its skull, still don’t know how it survived.
  6. Here is the footage, took a long time to upload. The footage is of the second wolf, when the first one already attacked me. IMG_0109.MOV the second clip is the hunting footage which took an embarrassingly long time to hunt her down. IMG_0110.MOV
  7. I think it’s a decent idea, let’s you hit small moving targets with cheap easy to produce arrows and get your skill up, genius.
  8. It would be great, until it gets slightly soggy… Wait, what if you get too close to a fire?
  9. You would repair them with books… wait, how do you stick paper? Never mind, they can’t be repaired. 😆
  10. I’d love to just play TLD all day long, but my life has been kinda crazy recently, but I’ve had to travel so much and then I have school when I get back home, thankfully starting Friday, I’ll have spring break and hopefully have a week to myself so I can just grind this game everyday. Paper clothes lol, .1 C heat .1C wind res.
  11. Thankfully there are pillows, old bedrolls and other things that I can cut up for lots of cloth. So yes, I have plenty of cloth. As I get more stuff, I’ll be making animal clothes. I’m glad that at least I can defend myself, and with excess food, I’ll be able to read books, and as you can see, I have tons of books.
  12. Unfortunately my clothes are pretty messed up, and the second one made me bleed which is how, despite already being injured, did the same damage as the first one. Each wolf did about 30% condition each.
  13. Shot a deer, I got really lucky and one shot body shot the deer in the side, and skinned it for everything i could get from it. unfortunately, I wasn’t lucky enough to get back safely… I got into two wolf struggles, I got out my bow in a panic from the first wolf, I accidentally pressed B and put the bow away. The wolf took me to the ground, I got my hatchet and got the wolf off of me, got off with minor injuries, just to be attacked by a second wolf, pulled out my bow and shot it in the head! It kept coming, hinterland must’ve changed it because headshots with the bow used to be one shots on the wolves, i stabbed it with my knife to get it off. I don’t have the footage yet as I’m headed back home irl so it might be a while until I can get the footage on here. Don’t worry I survived with ~30% condition.
  14. I made a bow and 4 arrows for it, would have made more but I ran out of feathers. Sorted my books into neat piles. Then started running a cabin fever risk, I’m now going to hunt and try to get a deer.
  15. Yep, It’s better than I remembered.
  16. made it back, then went to trappers for the rabbits and whatever else I can find. Skinning them with the knife is going to be a lot easier, and just found a cluster of birch saplings, things are good.
  17. Same here working on curing maples and birches, and rabbits. Getting stuff ready for my bow.
  18. Same here, but I kinda like having do more scavenging and hunting, but it is pretty annoying.
  19. I made a knife, hatchet, and 8 arrowheads. (6 in the picture but I found more scrap and made 2 more) and are now heading back to the camp office.
  20. Made it to the forge, now going to make a hatchet, knife and a few arrowheads. After this I’m gonna head back to mystery lake and work on getting a bow.
  21. The poll is now closed, thanks for your responses, and your reasoning, all has been taken into consideration. Mystery lake Camp Office has won the poll.
  22. They just had to go in and mess up tool spawns, they were right when they said “removed some of the predictability from the game”. It’s fine though, now we get to explore again!
