  1. Are there any music ques? I realize that there are a few, but any specific ones? (maybe even rare ones?) Second: Will there be more birds we can see in the game? Maybe even hunt them for feathers?
  2. Will we ever be able to mix fuel sources? Such as taking a lot of small lantern fuel containers and pouring them all into a jerry can? Or the opposite?
  3. Will we ever be able to get a teddy bear? Something to help keep us sane during our long, cold adventures.
  4. Will you ever be able to put the hood up on the hoody?
  5. Do you plan on improving the way fog transitions into the game? At the moment it just randomly appears, even if there are no clouds or anything to really tell it's going to be foggy.
  6. Do you plan on adding pajamas in The Long Dark? It came to my head thinking that wearing them give you a small bonus to rest. Enjoy your guy's day!
  7. How difficult was it to create Hushed River Valley?
  8. How did you come up with the name of the "Quiet Apocalypse?" Did you go through multiple names before you choose this one?" What about the name for "Great Bear?"
  9. I have a question regarding a scene i saw while looking back at the Faithful Cartographer update video. Near the end of the video, you can see the state of a dear carcass through multiple stages over many days. At the final stage, it shows a pile of bones left behind, specific to the dear, where it was killed and eaten by a wolf. Is it possible that you could add something like this in the game in the future? Leaving a pile of bones behind when a carcass if fully harvested or rotten could be a cool bit of detail and possibly leave room for something that could be useful in the future. Sorry if this seems long. Thanks again...good luck with development.
  10. Once you finish Episode 3 and have fixed all of the possible bugs that you can find, what will your next project be? Will it be adding a new system, mini game, or possibly a new map?
  11. Are you going to add more feats? Maybe some feats for mapping, safe cracking, and possibly rope climbing?
  12. Are you going to add a quick stat weight meter to the bottom right of the screen that act as a quick way to see your carry weight? Right now the only way we know how our weight is, is by checking your inventory, or seeing the red weight symbol in the bottom right. It would be cool if there was a meter similar to food and water that you could see in the bottom right to quickly check your weight without seeing exact numbers.
  13. At night time, you can hear owls hooting in the trees. Are you going to make it so that we can find Owls at night, and possibly kill them for feathers? Yes i do think it's a inhumane thing to do, but maybe if someone playing interloper who needs feathers to make more arrows, happen to find a rare owl spawn and collect like 15 feathers and some extra meat. I think the main risk of hunting an Owl is shooting it out of the tree (and possibly miss) and going out at night.
  14. Are you guys going to add a jump mechanic into The Long Dark, or even the ability for you character to automatically step over small objects that would otherwise stop you in your tracks. (like small branches or rocks) I've encountered many annoying lumps in the ground, or even tiny branches that get in the way, and stop your character from moving, or even bits of concrete that separate roads and paths.
  15. Two questions: Do you plan on adding more clothing? Are there any technical problems you've had when adding more items?
  16. Are you going to make accessing more buildings without a need for a loading screen like Timber Wolf Mountain's mountain cabin?
  17. I'm sure many people have asked this before, but i was wondering: Are you going to make it so we can see in every direction in a car, and possibly move up from the back seat to the front and such?
  18. Are you going to add more clothing to the game? Pajamas, slippers, and more shoe types, possibly a new backpack?
  19. Are you constantly thinking of new names for updates? Did it take a while for you to come up with "Vigilant Flame" for the cooking overhaul?
  20. Do you guys enjoy working on The Long Dark? Are there times where it is frustrating and repetitive at times to work on it?
  21. Question: Are you going to add more options to custom? Some ideas i had were: Remove find able Hatchets and Knives. Set a date for when afflictions like Cabin Fever take effect. Increase or decrease the rate at which you increase skill levels, or set skill levels to a certain level when you start. These are just ideas i had.
  22. Are you going to make it so it's harder to eat raw meat from the radical menu? It's easy to mess up and accidentally eat raw meat instead of placing it.
  23. Are you guys going to rework the animations and difficulty of the animals? Wolves seem to have some twitchy animations, as well as the deer, and bear. Wolves also have zero turning animation, which can break the immersion.
  24. Hello everyone at Hinterland, I've truly enjoyed the experience of The Long Dark, and the most recent update fixed, and introduced many new things that i really enjoyed, and what the community was wanting for a while now. Now that you are on the way to perfecting the cooking methods with constant improvements, a question came to mind regarding The Long Dark's animals. Question: Can you please do an overhaul of the current animals in The Long Dark? I ask this because as of the moment, in The Long Dark, wolves can be quite simple to avoid, have some very twitchy animations, and next to no turning animations. The same is with all the animals, although i do not know as much for the moose. Any animal that is running away, turned instantly without and animation, which can break immersion, especially when a wolf does a 180 degree turn, without any animation or hint that it's going to turn around. Thank you for the recent updates, but i truly think that the animals in The Long Dark, need a little bit more love. Thanks for reading. -Smellyfries
