  1. For sure, overlapped with "I can't believe I just did that".
  2. Nice pics! I spent a while in that same cave, it's beautiful up there. Have you noticed crows circling above the cave? They were always there for me when the weather was decent. I couldn't figure out if they were up there because of the body in the cave, or if there's something up there. It looks like there might be an open area above the falls, but I couldn't find a way to get up there.
  3. Impressive, nice run, and thanks for all the updates. It's been fun to follow along. I once ended a decent Interloper run exactly the same way - climbing out of the Ravine Basin and I walked right off the ledge when I thought I had grabbed the rope.
  4. Overlooking Milton Basin on a nice evening from the area at the bottom of the ropes between Milton and Mystery Lake.
  5. Thanks! There might be hidden pancakes, if you look real close.
  6. I'm not sure if it has a name, but if it's the one I'm thinking of, it's just northeast of Stairsteps Lake. I didn't spawn in the region, I visited it for the first time on a long Interloper run. This cave was the first one I found in the region, stayed for a while, then wandered north and east to Monolith Lake, then back to this cave again. I came back just in time to be greeted by three wolves right around the corner from the cave (one at a time, but one right after another), and heard the angry crows signaling a bear somewhere nearby but didn't see it. I'm almost out of cloth and down to two arrows, so I'm heading back toward Milton to freshen up, then back to explore more. Hushed River Valley is a beautiful area, especially in those rare times when it's sunny and calm.
  7. Nice pics. This cave looks familiar... I think it's the same one I've been living in for the last couple weeks.
  8. Enjoying a sunset on a beautiful evening at Monolith Lake, Hushed River Valley.
  9. Are there any plans to implement a "free look" setting? I'd love the ability to look around while walking in one direction.
  10. Enjoying a view of the aurora over Forlorn Muskeg while dinner cooks after a long day of hunting.
  11. A beautiful foggy evening overlooking Marsh Ridge in Forlorn Muskeg.
  12. Here's a tip for times when you're out walking with fresh guts, meat, or anything else that gives off a scent and you see a wolf approaching in the distance. As long as the wolf has not locked on to you and is just headed in your direction, drop all available decoys. The wolf should lose interest and change course. Pick up the decoys and walk in a different direction. The wolf will walk to the spot where you picked up the decoys, regardless of where you go (unless you get close enough for the wolf to lock on to you). Once the wolf reaches the spot where you picked up the decoys, it will turn to pursue you again. You can repeat the maneuver until the wolf gets close to you or you make it to shelter.
  13. I love the sounds: Snow crunching underfoot, a crackling fire, and meat sizzling as it cooks.
