Natural resources

Do natural resources like maplings, mushrooms, cat tails, etc respawn after some time? Or are they gone for good after you harvest them?

As of v.258 , the wood/sticks/branches outside respawn, and the wildlife respawns... the rest of the supplies (natural or man made) don't respawn.

Someone mentioned in another thread that cattails appear to respawn. I haven't confirmed this 100%, but I have also observed that this may be the case. I have sometimes gathered all cattails from an area by ML and then return later to find more in the same location. It's possible that I simply missed a few, so like I said not 100% certain, but since someone else mentioned the same experience now it really makes me wonder if there's something to it.

I'll have to test this more thoroughly when I have the chance.

I haven't found any new cattails in area's where I've cleared them 80-90 days ago so I'm pretty sure they don't respawn. And if they do, that would be a bug. Plants don't grow back in the winter.

Cattails should not be respawning. If they are, this is not intended behaviour.

Thanks for the clarification, Bethany! I'll keep an eye out anyway and report it in as a bug if I notice it happen and confirm 100% that it's not just one that I missed picking up earlier.

Although, it occurs to me that if other seasons are eventually added, then perhaps there may come a day when the different plants do regenerate during other seasons.
