UTC-10
Looks like a fairly normal average (by meat content) rabbit to me. 1
Leeanda
That seems a heavy amount of meat for a rabbit! Surely they aren't that big! And yes it does look a bit on the lean side!
odizzido
Anorexic wildlife, really.

Sorry if the humor was lost on you, @odizzido Most of the rabbits I catch are over 1.5 lbs. This is definitely the lightest one I have seen in some time. Leeanda
Caught one this morning that had only 0.8lbs meat! Don't know if that was anorexic or just very young!

Levelgrinder
I get two or three rabbits a day off my trap line at ML, and they range from 0.8 ibs to 1.4 lbs usually, so the one you caught is pretty normal IMHO.

If I scare a wolf off his kill or kill a wolf while he's eating, I have picked up rabbits as small as 0.2 kg (since the wolf had already eaten some of it) This one is 1.1 lbs. (about 0.5 kg). Not sure if the OP killed this one himself or whether a wolf got to it first. He doesn't say. 😀 Edited December 16, 2021 by UpUpAway95
hozz1235
Eaten rabbit corpses don't count of course... I'd have to say my average rabbit meat weight is @ 2lbs. I believe I have another post on obese rabbits. I'll see if I can find it. Here: Edited December 16, 2021 by hozz1235
Leeanda
I've just started a new run so I need rabbits. I will check on the weights.
