Flashlight help

So when I use the flashlight on high beam it does not scare the wolves away but sometimes makes them ignore me for only a few seconds. Is it supposed to do that or scare them off?

It's supposed to scare them away. It doesn't work for me either. I've tried it a half dozen times and it's never worked.

Yeah it's just a bug the decks will have to fix. It's worked ONCE, but never since them.

I've seen it said that you have to use it to make a circle of light on the ground around/ahead of you.. that then they won't step into the light. Haven't tested it myself yet, so good luck!

Sounds about right. There was a part in wintermute where you had to dodge wolves by going under streetlights to keep them away.

No need to go into the circle of light.  The wolves always get stuck on the edges.  And they don't try to avoid it.  So if you just maneuver so that the light remains between you and them and they will get trapped and you can keep walking.

Its just like the old "firetrap" behavior (  ... ) but recycled to affect only the not-at-all-supernatural green-glowing-with-shining-yellow-eyed wolves.
