  1. Even worse, climbing all the way up Ash Canyon, then getting back to Anglers Den with a key to a lockbox that contains a single fish.
  2. Maybe I'm weird but when I see a bathroom and I have to use it myself, I'll literally squat (as Astrid) facing away from the toilet as if she had to pee, then I'll go pee. When I unpause, I get out of the crouch and it's back to business as usual. Sometimes I even do it if I need a break and I see a bench or chair.
  3. The bunker is a bit out of the way, yes, but for what I'm doing I'll be darting around everywhere so it's a better location to store things than tromping all the way to the beginning.
  4. At least it keeps you fresh lol I guess. It's because it's so damn filled with hills and gullies that it disorients you. I know where I'm going and still get turned around a lot.
  5. I used to hate HRV and kind of still do but now that I have the general layout in my head and I e mapped it, it's not as daunting to trek through. I'm actually on my way back there to scavenge whatever is left (which won't be much) and look for caches with the handheld radio. Thankfully the bunker can act as my temporary base. I don't know, once I'd been there a few times it just seems smaller. Same thing for TWM honestly. You play this game lon enough and the entire map of the regions just kind of stick in your head and you almost can see it through a drone in your mind.
  6. I've found all the unique recipes, just waiting for the recycled can recipes now. I actually used the meals to decorate my base outside lol it's quite homey. Sadly yes they do deteriorate quickly even outside.
  7. They were visors I had already flipped down and they stayed down
  8. The keys I found were the only remaining keys I knew of that I needed and they just popped up randomly so I'd check the known spots again. I also found a random note with some lore on it in the ML truck near the dam. I've been in that truck a million times and the visor checked as it has been flipped down since the initial inspection of the vehicle. I hope your run is successful.
  9. I looked at the known issues (should have beforehand) and apparently they're still looking into the cause and will fix it in an upcoming update.
  10. Update: They're back!! I was leveling up gunsmithing and fishing in Bleak Inlet and I "fell" off the Cannery Pier trying to get off it quickly. I took some minor bruising and torn clothing so I scoured the nearby cars for leather. I got into a car and saw a glint of gold on the visor. It was a memento key and a note! So I figured I'd look for the other one on the higher part of the region and it was right in the truck visor. They were not there before and the visors were down so I know I checked previously. I'm so happy as a completionist. I'm not holding my breath on the Curator's Rifle suddenly spawning too but hey I'll take what I can get. So yeah, for those that need the Intel, the Bleak Inlet memento notes and keys are spawning properly now for me so I hope they are for you too. Happy hunting!
  11. Is the Curator's Rifle still bugged and not spawning? I really would love to add it to my collection and use it as it's a very good rifle. I've been to every known spawn location and even a few that aren't so common but possible. Nothing...help?
  12. Maybe try a Bass Pro Shop? A buddy of mine gets elk and boar through them. Maybe they can at least steer you in a general direction if not outright help you acquire what you're looking for.
  13. I was tromping through HRV after getting the handheld radio from Forsaken Airfield to find the bunker and generally explore the region. Making my way down into the valley from Many Falls Vista, I wasn't paying attention to my fatigue level and got exhausted climbing the rope. I was low on food and water so things looked kind of bad. I knew I had to find the valley cave as soon as possible but I wanted to check out Moose Overlook to search for any hidden caches or even a moose for food. Nothing... Just when things looked bleak I glanced up at Twin Sisters Falls and saw a rainbow! I didn't even know that was a thing in this game. It made me smile and press on until I found a deer. I'm now sitting happily on my bedroll in the cave, exhausted with a full belly and thirst quenched. Just when you think you've seen everything this game has to offer it throws you a curve ball and that's why I continue playing. On a side note: I'm wondering if the rainbow only appears if you're using 60fps rather than 30fps? I've been a long time survivor and never witnessed a rainbow ever in all my hours of playing. I also only just recently switched to 60fps (which is awesome by the way) and that's why I'm asking.
  14. Looks like the cave system from TWM to AC to me, where you get the spelunker lantern. I see him a lot lol I named him Jack.
  15. I literally get lost in threads like this. Almost missed work reading lol.
  16. So far I'm concluding that Mystery Lake is a popular choice wherever you choose to make home, interesting! The other places mentioned are very clever and some I never considered but now might. When I first started I was a bit nomadic and it was only when I got super heavy that I even thought to make a base. If I fade into the long dark in this run, my next base will probably be The Hangar of Forsaken Airfield. Maybe I'll do a personal roleplay like @LunarLimeand make my own story, only venturing to other regions sparatically for supplies.
  17. I was recently looking in a previous topic I made and they were discussing places they've made into their bases. So my question to you all is where is the very first place you ever made your base and why? Mine was Quanset Garage in Coastal Highway. I was very new to the game and this spot was smack dab in the middle of the region so it seemed appropriate. Also it's surrounded by supplies and there's a forge a couple regions over. Now, I always make my base in the Camp Office in Mystery Lake for the same reasons but on a more grand scale obviously.
  18. Well, there is the Hermit house in Milton Basin lol but that's destroyed.
  19. That's exactly what I was thinking. I know for a fact, as I'm a long time player, that the mine is the connection between the regions, but man I swear there was another way.
  20. That does actually make me feel a bit better lol For some reason I remember an alternate route.
  21. Does make me wonder what the hell I'm thinking about though. Was there ever a bridge like that anywhere aside from Blackrock or Ravine that got removed or modified?
