    ideas for ep5

    howdy lads and ladies I'm pretty sure that ep5 will have another forrest talker stash to find but me personally: i'd love if that stash to be story-critical so to say, like one needs the stash to finish to complete ep 5, or a good ending or something alike maybe even meet up once more with the dude from the cabins? cheers

  3. so.. you want to murder a bunch of unarmed people? prosecutor, judge & executioner - style? inside the prison too, they all man the lights, unarmed, you cant even see the "snipers" if one can even use that term (aim and so on) yes there was the possibility to "end" the (already mortally wounded) dude in the barn... if you were one of them who pushed - you prob did him a kindness - dying by pierced gut is bad - like... really bad - but outright murdering people... that doesn't seem to fit McKenzie's demeanor at all this is his story of trying to save somebody he doesn't even know a goal for what he flew, basically, to the end of the world to achieve... and don't forget the people he helped along the way: prepping grey mother, saving the trapper & the forest talker, etc... to be blunt: the entire story up 'til now is the exact opposite of what you are proposing, namely keeping civilisation afloat... one good deed at a time if what you request should be a thing, so should be the option to just shoot the old lady in the face, same goes for any other npc... what would that make you/McKenzie? the new Mathis/Donner? like.. exactly what you were trying to prevent all along? I really don't like nor approve of where this is going...
  4. at that point I was still trying honestly to resolve this sadly, counter to any game, in RL there isn't always an option available, some things just cannot be done.

  6. my comment about the cache in the mine was about going through the trouble of looking for the 3 numbers, getting them all together - just to find out that it is locked with a regular - guessing game - safe lock, rendering the search for the clues/numbers redundant meaning id rather look for clues and letters and make some sense of them than just walking up to a marked spot on the map guessing my way through also: gameplay > flashbacks

  9. with your understanding either everything is logical or it contains a mythical wumbus since you yourself didn't die when the bear ate you in ep2 (equal to your favored wumbus imo) we can not expect basic logic nor anything else further down the line
  10. nah you did the exact opposite confronted with logic you started talking about its a game, there cannot be logic in a game containing a wumpus since this forum is about a game containing undying characters, aggressive wolves, mythical bears and global magnetic events, we, by your own logic, cannot expect logic nor fluid dynamics
  11. yet since we are talking about mac - you know an undying character in a game? who survived a plane crash due to a magnetic storm, a number of bear attacks in canon and getting hit in the head multiple times with a metal (suit)case all within a few days, we have to agree we cannot hope for logical solutions to binary puzzles nor can we inject fluid dynamics? rather just try and err until we're done?

  18. curious i downloaded the original text adventure hunt the wumpus, you know not escape the wumpus but its real name -> hunt the wumpus and i finished it 3 times by now not once did i encounter your fibonacci not fibonacci thing... maybe you memory is playing with you?
  19. if you knew every solution in advance nothing in this universe would be a puzzle to you and talking about things non-fibonacci: how about try and error? you know how early primates figured out how to use tools? as your posts prove...not everything has to be logical, just incoherently yoinking letters at the internet is good enough for some people... for you at least... would love if you tried to read the answers you get from people who seem to be honestly trying to solve your red hot raging problems...

  22. @Lord of the Long Dark what is binary? all of us living in the real world know: binary means 0 or 1; on or off; since your hated steam puzzle only allows you to turn every lever on OR off... it is - by definition - binary... a choice between 2 states -> on or off one can describe the solution to the steam puzzle in binary; tld's steam puzzle solution is: 0,1,0,1,1,1,1,1,0,1,0,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,0,1,1,1 -> where 0 means valve is off and 1 means valve is on... and for everybody out there who does not know fibonacci: he was an italian mathematician who introduced the "fibonacci numbers": a sequence where the 3rd number in a sequence is created by adding the 2 preceding numbers together fe. 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34 etc. -> because 1+1=2; 2+3=5 and especially 8+13=21 it seems you chose the fibonacci numbers by mistake to represent your dishonest example... that may be why people keep telling you about fibonacci
