Bimbobjoejr. Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 Am I just dumb, or did anyone else think they got more rest for less with the "improved rest" benefit? I only just read that it only affects the amount of condition restored while sleeping. 1
mfuegemann Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 (edited) Hi, I just checked the values on Stalker difficulty. The herbal tea is indeed only affecting the condition restore. 10 hours sleep, fully exchausted gained 77% health with tea and 64% without. The fatigue meter was at around 80% after waking up in both cases (Hypothermia active). I had expected else, too. Edited December 2, 2023 by mfuegemann 1
LostRealist Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 It took me a while to even understand what you mean. I, for one, don't think I was ever under that impression...
mfuegemann Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 From the description of the tea "improved rest" I first expected an effect on restoring energy (reducing fatigue) instead of / in addition to restoring health.
mfuegemann Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 (edited) To make the test complete, I checked birch bark tea too. It has the same effect as herbal tea. 77% health gain after 10 hours sleep and the same value on the fatigue meter as with the other options. From now on I will value my herbal teas a bit more, I think. Edited December 2, 2023 by mfuegemann
KingFuzz Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 I also thought this for a while. Not just you.

Basically, I thought drinking the tea and getting the "improved rest" benefit would mean more of the fatigue bar would be restored per hour. Let's say if you sleep for an hour, you gain 10% of your fatigue bar. I thought improved rest would restore more of that bar, maybe 12% instead. But it only affects the amount of condition restored via sleeping, not the amount of fatigue restored. 1
