Blackrock Issues?

Plenty of bodies around, I'd say. Just not right in the open so much. There's one outside the mine, for example, which you can't see from the path.

 

Also outside the mine: there's a bucket hanging on a chain, which sways in the wind. I tried to place a rock in it, ended up placing it on top... and it doesn't move with the bucket. It just hangs motionless in the air. haha

No you don't this isn't a forge where you need to get it to 150C, you can fire it with reclaimed wood if you can't find anything else. It just needs to be burning long enough for crafting the bullets. And if you are in need of coals, most caves around BR have some lying around. The only real reason for getting into the mine is the code.

just revisited the area on a new save, and the sewing kit moved but I still can't access it!
