  1. Camp Office in ML is really good as stress-free spot, but I felt the most peaceful one was maybe Lonely Lighthouse in Desolation Point. Perhaps because it is (almost) the last place on a side of the map, and facing the sea. It is possible that the "Hopeless Rescue" challenge had an influence on this as, after that, I also choose to end "Nomad" and "Archivist" challenges at this same place. Summit in Timberwolf Mountain has also something peaceful. I'm not familiar enough with the rest of the map to mention other specific ones, but I remember a few spots in regions having a more "difficult" reputation (Hushed River Valley or Ash Canyon, maybe) which actually seems to be rather quiet, and maybe good for a longer stay. Anything but Pleasant Valley ^^
  2. Thanks to all for being so welcoming.
  3. Hello to all Snow(o)men, Salutations from a french guy currently living in Tahiti before reaching back the North hemisphere (Canada?) in the next months. I won't share videos from a 2,548 days' run in Interloper, since I was already quite happy to be able to do one single day in this difficulty level for the related trophy ("Come on, Pilgrim", as sung by my favorite band) Meilleures salutations à toutes et tous, Kali_spell (*) (*yes, it is related to the small city in Northern Montana - I also loved "Whitefish" which is nearby, but found that this latter sounded a bit less sexy for a pseudo)
  4. I actually never listen to Music while playing a game, especially nowadays since games have very often a beautiful musical background. When I used to play on Amstrad CPC, that might have been a bit different though I don't remember anymore. But while being caught in a blizzard (notably in the cynically-named "Pleasant Valley"), I often remembered the lyrics written by Mick Jagger for "Moonlight Mile" ballad : "When the wind blows, and the rain feels cold. With a head full of snow...with a head full of snow"
  5. The immersion. I focused on this game between mid-March and end of May, except for a few Red Dead Online events, and I think I even crossed the tiny border between immersion and (not on purpose) obsession. After finishing the Platinum one week ago, I still catch myself thinking about the 500 days run, how many cloth I need for the mending skill, the challenges to complete, while it's all done. I also still can hear the blizzard when I'm sleeping - although I live in Tahiti where a snow wind is not really frequent, to say the least.
  6. Hello everyone, (sorry in advance if my English is not always clear) Finished the six "easy" challenges a few days ago. To my huge surprise, it took me only one attempt for each of them, except for "Hunted part.1" for which I needed two. Since it is the least obtained trophy (according to PSN.profiles site), I thought it would be overall harder. I presume the time needed to complete some of them might keep many players from trying. I would not recommend to do them straight after each other, it may became boring, since four of them require to travel throughout several same regions on the map. Globally, I have the same opinions as you guys: - "Hopeless" is the most exciting one, but if you're able to reach summit by half of the allowed time, you're rather okay for the rest of the journey. - "Whiteout" is also very good, there can be some tension when you do not find rifle or/and hatchet; took me 13 days to complete since I had to go to DP for making a hatchet, and it is quite difficult to avoid wolves around Quonset after ten days. - "The Hunted" was stressful. Are we sure that normal torches and flares still scare OB ? Because "mine" did not seem to care of them - or maybe I was really awkward using them, which is indeed a quite reliable theory ^^ After getting mauled for the third time, I used a stim and was able to reach the house, though in very bad shape haha - Part 2 of "The Hunted" was quick and not really challenging. You just need to know that OB will charge you half of times, and not randomly, so no real problem to handle this challenge. - "Nomad" can be useful when you do not master the gameplay yet. Good way to know better about the map, too. But the challenge itself is a bit boring - even the three days in Stone Church were really quiet. - "Archivist" was a bit stressful without any weapon. I spent five days in Camp Office waiting for an aurora, with only rabbits caught with stones, which was tricky due to the high calories rate for this challenge. Once you reach the dam, food is not an issue anymore. Apart from this, Aurora wolves have been difficult in Broken Railroad, Pleasant Valley (by derelict cabins, when coming down from Timberwolf Mountain) and Quonset Garage, but rather easy to handle on other locations - did not meet any single wildlife in Forlorn Muskeg, I thought the challenge was glitched. Maybe the devs could have removed "Nomad" when they released "Archivist", these two can be a bit redundant, especially if you play the second just after the first one. Or maybe remove one day per location for "Nomad". Anyway. I spent the last three months (or close to) on this game, so I will let blizzard away for a moment before going back to try the two hardest challenges. Very special game, but incredibly demanding, even in low difficult level. Such an experience.
