  1. Just wondering, and not to bother anybody here, but would a Patreon be allowed at all? Of course the mod would be free to install and use to its full ability, but if people want to support the devs or what have you, would that be allowed/legal? I don't really know anything about that kind of stuff so I am kind of curious.
  2. I really like the direction of the cooking system, and I agree that renewability in the form of naturally harvested improvised ingredients would be a very welcome addition. I also think that the cooking system has a solid foundation, but would benefit from incremental additions of recipes, as in every update 1-3 would be added. Overall, I am pretty happy with this update, and think that it is providing a solid base to add more features. Also, on a side note, for recycled can recipes, are those only cooked in the can, or are they preserved, as I think a way to preserve meat (either through smoking or salting) would be an excellent addition, as just throwing raw meat into piles in the snow, as we have been for a while, is not my favorite gameplay mechanic. I am exited to see what Hinterland cooks up next! (Punny, right? I am deeply sorry for that one...)
  3. Raphael did work at Bethesda, if my memory serves me right, so we could have some crossover...
  4. Yeah, I'm not doing this for super effective run, I'm mostly just doing it for a fun sort of run around HRV for a few weeks. Those tips will come in handy later though, I have never done a lot of research into rabbit farming before. Thanks!
  5. I've always loved watching and hearing stories from family about trappers and the lives they used to lead. It is sort of a dying occupation however, and quite frankly I'm not a resourceful enough person to be one in real life, so I figured that I could do it in Canada simulator, the long dark. HRV has been my chosen region, as it is almost void of manmade structures (except the new bunker), and is quite plentiful in wildlife, and already has some established snow shelters as bases along the line. I was just wondering, as I set up for this adventure, if anyone has any tips for it. I made a little route on a map, and the new bunker would be my home base as it has (perhaps spoilers ahead) a workbench, and is in a really great location for doing rounds through HRV. I plan to kill deer and Bears with Vaughn's rifle for food, as well as snare rabbits for supplementary food and gut. I am doing this on my ~55 day run in stalker difficulty, and am gathering gear in the ML trappers cabin to transport through MT to HRV. I have got technical backpack and moose satchel as well as the rifle sling to further decrease the weight of Vaughn's rifle (but I'll bring curators rifle just to put on display). Thanks in advance for any advice!
  6. I found this while looking at the new roadmap, thought it could be more concrete evidence of what the trader may be... (Notice the boots hanging under the rifle) (Now look at the icon for the Trader) I'm super excited to see what great work hinterland comes up with next!
