  1. This is not complicated.

You can just pick a custom game, start with Interloper settings, but chose loot availability from Stalker. That's it.

One could argue that this game mode would not be as hard at standard IL, because now there is too much loot. Ok, just disable condition recovery (= NOGOA), and now you got a challenge on your hands. Getting creative with custom games is where it's at.

Did it show up on your load screen as something you could click, on the Expansion tab? Or did the tabs not change but the content was now there? I show the DLC and both are clicked as install in Steam, but in the game, no change on main screen. Someone on Reddit said they had that but the DLC was actually there, but I still get no bridge connector every time. I can wait for a fix, but want to be sure it isn't on my end. Will try uninstallling for a third time, maybe that'll finally do it. Thanks!!

Yes, it come up as a clickable link, allowing me to buy the DLC. But I already had it purchased in Dec. I didn't buy it again.

Steam just fail to connect the dots and realize that I already had the DLC.

I have owned game since 2015 and got TFTFT pass in December, just trying to figure out how to access it.  So on my Mac game screen, I have "Survival" and "Quit" as only options I can click. "Expansion" and "Wintermute" both say "Download Now" but are not clickable. Got update today, and then even unistalled and reinstalled game too. Survivial start page says "December Update Available Now" but Steam says game is synched and up-to-date. Went into Broken Railroad, and not finding bridge span there...so updated but not connecting to the new DLC,  only partial update so far? Thanks, and sorry if obtuse. Not the most savvy tech user.

I had the same issue. After two uninstall and re-installs, it recognized the DLC.

Not sure if they pushed a silent update in between. I feel like it's a Steam glitch.

  4. Appreciate the update.

I don't see this as a major deviation from what had been announced for the season pass. The Season Pass was to include 3 MAJOR Updates (3 Parts) over the course of 12 months. That meant that MAJOR updates could be up to 6 months apart.

Part #1 (Forsaken Airfield) launched in Dec 2022. 12 Months would conclude in Nov 2023. Therefore, if Part #3 launched in Nov 2023, Part #2 would sit somehwere between Dec 2022 and Nov 2023. Getting it late March / early April 2023 does not seem late.

The 8-10 week cadence refered to “updates”, which was unspecified what exactly that would mean / contain.
So they could have released just acorns in Feb 2023, and fulfill the “letter of the law” That would be silly.

By late March 2023, we would have gotten more than 50% of the promised season pass content, after only 4 months since launch.

So everyone complaining, give your balls a tug.

To be fair what I miss is a "Stalkerloper" level of loot, that is, all items having a chance of spawning (from tools to high-tier clothing), but with Interloper-level scarcity. The "medium" baseline gives you just too much of everything.

If you want to make Stalker harder, you could also do a custom game like OuterStalker. (No access to buildings allowed).

But that could be harder than plain IL.

  6. I wouldn't go so far to say there is a "missing connection", since to me, "missing" would imply a mistake / oversight by Hinterland. The way things are laid out seem intentional.

That being said, there are are some shortcuts one can take.

There is a mountain path that starts straight south of the airfield that will get you close to the entrance to Transfer Pass.

Also, coming from Transfer Pass, one can goat down to the airfield, and circumvent the long road past Junker Paddock. It leads to a cave (Frosty Cave, IIRC), and then is a straight short walk to the hangar.

    Have fun exploring.

You need to start it from outside. Once the fire is going, you are able to feed it and re-ignite from inside. Someone stated, that it suffice character is in wind shade and the fire does not have to be and yet it will not blow. Astrid was inside the heli so fully protected against wind. And yet she was not able to ignite the fire with message that it is too windy.

    Oh, wow, surely a bug.
AFAIK, this would be the only 100% windproof fire location at the airfield.

I'd say that for Forsake Airfield you had a very bad roll- because generally I have found one of everything.

    On Interloper ?
I watched multiple interloper runs and did a few myself. Tools were very scarce.
Never seen anyone find a hammer on Loper in FA. In general, that would be in line with the past, where you would never find a hammer in a forge region.
Can’t remember anyone finding a Hacksaw either.

The crashed helicopter seems to be the only choice at the moment, it's a bit far from the airport but works perfectly.

There’s a cave that’s closer from the hangar. I’d prefer that, since you not only get wind shelter, but also improved temperatures. and hence, less need for fuel.
The cave is warm on interloper after 50 days as long as you have decent clothing.

Good idea with the stairs, theres a good chance that could work, the little fence on jackrabbit acts windproofing as well in most directions. Theres no vehicle nearby, but if a snow shelter fits there, this could be the solution!

The stairs behind hangar are NOT windproof.

I have not found a guaranteed wind-sheltered location at the airfield.

You can reach the ones opposite you, and if you swivel a bit, you can reach the 2 beside you.  I think if you look up there is 2 above your head.

    Ok, I did the test.

Light a torch, drop it in helicopter, light a second torch off the already lit dropped torch. When second torch is at about 75% being lit, crouch. I crouch. Now you can freely turn around 360 degrees.

And, indeed, those two lockers are accessible now.

I tried in a couple of helicopters, and didn’t find anything in them, but something about it is buggy.

    • Fix for Helicopter interiors- you can only sit in 4/6 seats, and as such can only access half of the containers

I don't think it's true that you can only access half of the containers. I think you still get access to ALL containers that exists.

There is a bug / glitch / exploit where you drop a lit torch in a vehicle / helicopter / plane, and the act of lighting a new torch allows you to freely rotate around. From what I heard, there are no more containers to be reached when doing that. Haven't tested it yet, so YMMV.

On Interloper, there is not much wildlife.

I have not seen any of the IL streamers (or myself) run into a bear or moose, and deer seem to be confined to two different areas (north and north-east of airfield).

On the plus side, there are plenty of bunnies around.

The blizzards on IL can be really nasty. This is a tough area to navigate in IL past day 25, and I'm not looking forward to day 50.

Update: bear and moose do appear on Loper, sparsely.

There are two deer spawn areas that seems to have multiple deer, and on occasion, you can see a single deer completely out of place.

I'm on day 43 on IL, and it's pretty cold. Staving off cabin fever is now a big concern. Takes a lot of fuel every single time. Hangar has a lot of crates that you can live off, but that is finite. Going past 100 days on IL just in Forsaken Airfield is a challenge, for sure.

I am still surviving on interloper, because I found a magnifying glass and a fire striker early, but not a single match and I searched in 5 regions so far. I dislike that items are not in places where it would be plausible to find them, for example just a few matches left from a box on a dead body. if people are out there in the wilderness wouldn't it be likely for them to carry some matches? or perhaps an empty box of matches now and then?

    Odd.
On interloper, I have done a few runs starting in BRR and then going into FT.

Tons of matches in BRR, plus a chance of striker.

From starting in BRR 4 times, I would say there are at least two guaranteed match spawns - Maintenance Shed and Hunting Lodge.
Also, two guaranteed stims in BRR.

Further, in FT, I have always found more matches than I would need anytime soon.

In one run, I found a total of three bedrolls between BRR and FT. Yikes
