I'm going to assume that the Poisoned Affliction can only be obtained by being bitten by a Poisoned Wolf. This may affect the treatment needed (laceration/puncture vs. ingestion).

Yes. Patiently waiting while I play Raft after work. I am very much looking forward to the new update announcement and playing it or course. One save is in FA (completed Signal Void) and ready to make the walk over to Langston Mine.
I've been playing a new game recently: Mr. Prepper. Simple, but really enjoying it!

even if you are standing on top of the "suspicious snow hump", the little white dot appears, but the "uncover" option does not.Makes sense. Thanks for following up.

This is a silly thread. There's nothing 'going on' with our support tickets. Some people seem very desperate to make drama!
While I agree the question could have been asked differently, I don't see anything "silly" about the issue brought up.

I had a look past Conductor's Dropoff- no mine there...
You wouldn't see anything (if they do decide to put it there, which is unlikely since the latest dev diary) until they actually implement the change.

Ever heard of activated charcoal?
Yes, thanks for mentioning that! I like the idea of using natural substances found in the existing game as cures.

Antibiotics and the like won't deal with poisoning.
True, but bacterial complications typically go along with poison.
I suggested Reishi because one of it's purported benefits is as a poison cure:
OVERVIEW
Reishi mushroom is a fungus. Some people describe it as "tough" and "woody" with a bitter taste. The above-ground part and portions of the below-ground parts are used as medicine.
Reishi mushroom is used for aging, boosting the immune system; viral infections such as the flu (influenza), swine flu, and avian flu; lung conditions including asthma and bronchitis; heart disease and contributing conditions such as high blood pressure and high cholesterol; diabetes; kidney disease; cancer; polyps (growths) in the colon or rectum, and liver disease. It is also used for HIV/AIDS, altitude sickness, symptoms in the urinary tract in men, chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), trouble sleeping (insomnia), stomach ulcers, poisoning, and herpes pain. Other uses include reducing stress and preventing and treating different kinds of fatigue.

Sometimes the amount of charcoal needed is too heavy and you can't waste matches etc just for mapping. .
Just a pencil would do, and maybe use the knife to keep it sharp. ,it's something to do at least .
Yeah, guess just play style. Seems like I'm always building fires so always have charcoal available.

It's an interesting use of words. Why not just say, "It's more than lights in the sky" and leave it at that?

This already exists to some extent. Look at all the frozen bodies, some with pills, knives or "crime scenes". I think if we added more of these, it would make those we do find less "special".
Just my 2 cents.
@piddy3825's post showcases them well.

With the abundance of charcoal, why would this be needed? Now, if we could use it to scribble notes on our map, THAT I would be in favor of!

Would it be: Wear one or the other? IME, you can't really wear a CamelBak over a traditional backpack.

I rather doubt that they sought permission from the owners of every landmark they've used in the game. It would be an impossible task even for larger companies. I suspect there's some allowance for using landmarks that are well known by the general population and that their appearance in general is not a copyrighted thing.
The games that do replicate a (city for example), may only need to get "permission" from the city itself (a single entity). Now, if they wanted to include private businesses in their games, I'm guessing that is a different matter. Seeing as how we don't really know this aspect of game development, all we can do is give our best guess/opinion.

You're probably right, but I would like to point out that the Fallout franchise uses many IRL locations and landmarks in their games (e..g from Fallout 3 - Lincoln Memorial, Capital Mall. Fallout 4 - Boston Public Library, Old North Church, etc.) - not exact replicas, but at least somewhat accurately placed within the map, despite the map being significantly scaled down. Now, these are US landmarks and Bethesda is an American company, so perhaps the regulations on that sort of thing are a bit different in Canada; but I don't know why that would be the case.
True about Fallout (and other games such as Assassin's Creed). Perhaps those companies sought "permission" from those entities before replicating them. I'm not about to dig into that level of research

Is this really confirmed though? I've heard about that, but I cannot recall ever being able to confirm it at any point in time and I had come to the conclusion that this was a misunderstanding. Afterall, if it was true, what good would a spawn rate setting for custom games be for them? Either way, I haven't experienced any upticks there.
As for the wolves I also haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary. Bear spawns on the other hand are weird at the moment.
Using the fly cheat, I suppose you could quickly scout the moose spawn areas in each zone to confirm this. Once you find a moose, you would also want to return to that area to confirm it had not de-spawned while you were flying around checking other spawns.
I would think that "only a single moose can exist on GBI at a time" is false though. Just think, if you didn't know where that ONE moose was, until he de-spawned, you would NEVER find another moose!

but my personal feeling is that GBI is purely fictional, probably based on what our British Columbians best friends (aka Hinterland) know and love of the different islands along the Canadian coast. If I had to hazard a guess, that's what I'd go for : a big mix
I agree. I'm sure HL was inspired by many things when creating GBI, but if for nothing else, likely made it a fictional place.
Perhaps there could be trademark/permission issues if you exactly replicate something IRL. For this reason alone, I personally, would make it fictional.

I agree, once we know how to avoid/deal with it, it will just become ingrained in us, just like all the other afflictions.
