We put out a call on our Facebook and Twitter inviting players to email us their questions. We might do it differently next time, though, since many people missed it or tried to submit questions by other channels, which can get a bit challenging to manage.

Personally I'd suggest making a new sub-forum here on the official forums to post the questions on so people can see what's already been asked..

Do we all die in our sleeps or fall to death? I've only ever died once to a wolf. And that was fluffy. The little shit.

Oh I've been killed by wolves but usually only when starting a Stalker/Interloper game or after a major map update when they've played around with the settings for the wolves. I've gone from fighting wolves deliberately for wolf meat to being puppy chow after the clothing defence properties were changed :S

Get used to it. I'm a rambler!

I think if you're not interested in hearing 10-15 mins of our thoughts about Mad Max, you likely won't be interested in future episodes. I would have gone on way longer, and intend to go back to it whenever possible. :)

If that's the case any plans on having a nuts and bolts design, mechanics and game only podcast for @Pillock and @AZHockeyNut at a later date?

  4. Evening All,

This post is just a simple FAQ for the forums for our new members. The same questions keep getting asked so why not start and FAQ? The problem is, the only question I remember with any frequency is how to do spoiler tags so feel free to add the tips, tricks, and shortcuts that help you post ;)

    For Spoiler Tags:

Write the following using square brackets [] as opposed to regular brackets ():

(spoiler) The stuff you don't want to spoil (/spoiler)

    Like so:

You thought it'd be the same text didn't you?

    ^_^

That does make me feel better because it's a real "bummer" of a way to die!!

You think everything is going great, all is well, no worries, ....................then BAM!!!!!  It's like getting punched in the gut!

I wish I could have noticed how cold it actually got, but it all happened so fast!

I do wish there was a way you could wake up and start a fire when something like that happens so you at least have a fighting chance!

Sorry to break the bad news @cowboymrh... but I think you could have survived. If you're playing on PC you can hit ESC at any time (I don't know what the XBox equivalent is) to cancel any action. This should also apply to sleep. The next time you're sleeping try it.

  6. The almanac's works really well for the whiteout challenge but I don't think it'd be as neat for the main sandbox. I really like Sam's idea of a barometer though. It'd be neat to see the pressure dropping to know that something might be on its way. As long as it's not a perfect correlation (i.e. a barometer drop is always a blizzard) than the unpredictability of the weather could still be preserved. Coupled with relative rarity (I can really only see the Camp Office and Homestead having them) and you have a really neat, powerful, and still limited weather prediction tool.

Lol, you crawled that must have taken forever did you camp on the bridge by a fire, haha.  I went across the bridge for my first time today i was freaking scared to, i had 28 days so i had lots to lose.  I have never felt like that playing a game befor,

It would take a while ;)

Now I only crawl across the broken section. It seems that the clipping I encountered has long since been fixed.

I've done the whole "backing carefully over the edge of a precipice without remembering to take hold of the rope first" thing.

I sat in stunned, motionless silence just staring at the screen for about a minute and a half, unable to believe what I'd just done.

I've almost done that twice. So far (knock on wood) I've always caught myself before I did it
