I'm having a similar issue. I've been playing for the past few days without issue; then I enter a cabin and it's suddenly night time with two (2) hours remaining. No amount of rest seems to change this. I also noticed my survival time is no longer increasing. It's like time is now standing still. I've tried reloading, trying a different save, and starting a new game, all with the same result.

It's bothersome as I've been playing just fine for the past couple of hours, then BAM frozen in time.. :(

Same here :? . Two hours of darkness left, no matter what I do. I also started with a new game and time is not running at all. Everything was fine about 6 hours ago (IRL). Also thought about it being a Halloween joke, but I'm positive that Hinterland would not do this, as it is completely against their policy of realism. Love the wolf lantern though :D
