SonoftheThrone Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 I found out that it is present on the PC version; please kindly add it to the console versions as well. Separate, but equal!
houservt Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 I don't know of any PC version map. Source?
SonoftheThrone Posted September 29, 2015 Author Posted September 29, 2015 I don't know of any PC version map. Source?I was watching clips on YouTube of people playing The Long Dark on PC.
Foxen Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 But surely not with an ingame-map
tog89 Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 There are community made maps in the steam resources. Is this what you mean?
JErosion Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 or are you referring to the map in the old inventory tab? because that was a placeholder that never worked and was removed many a version ago
Patrick Carlson Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 I found out that it is present on the PC version; please kindly add it to the console versions as well. Separate, but equal! While some use player-made maps produced by the community, there is no "in-game" map in The Long Dark (other than the ones in our heads). And the PC version is identical to the Xbox version. Maybe you heard someone talking in a Let's Play about making use of a community map to navigate? Not sure what you mean here.
houservt Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 What he was referring to was the map icon that was present in an earlier prototype of TLD. He also posted about the shovel icon associated with "snow shelter" and found the answer to both questions in the response to the other thread. All set here.
