Black screen on entering cabin

Entered hunters cabin and was stuck at black screen. I could hear my breathing but no keys seemed to work. It has been happening quite a lot recently at various doors throughout the game on both ingress and egress.

No screenshot since it is just a black screen.

Just to support the OP in their observations...

I have had this happen two times in many, many playsthroughs at the Camp Office (front door). This was before I understood the bug report data gathering fully. It was a black screen, I could hear game sounds. However, in my case if I used WASD keys I could hear my footsteps. It was like Will suddenly went blind.

It seems very intermittent in my experience.

I had the same thing before... In the beginning I thought it was a bug, but later I found out, that it just was to dark inside the building.

@ianjoshua: Try to use a flare or a storm lantern in this situation.

It's possible night indoors might be mistaken for the game being stuck on a black screen. An easy test for this is to try and press Tab or ESC and see if those menus come up. If those menus activate, then it's likely just night indoors.

I believe there are still some crash issues related to transitioning indoors/outdoors -- it's one of the more fragile aspects of the game since we do a save/restore of game state at those points.

I understand the whole it might be *night* aspect however I am quite sure it was not night and that my keyboard was quite unable to open any menus.
