#2550 - Item duplication.

v.264, savegame started in v.256.

Some items are duplicating themselves at carter dam.

Those items are exclusivement those which were there at start, in directly the room (not in container) :

for me, a lantern and a tool box.

At first I though that I wasnt able to take them, because the objetc didnt disappear, but I quickly realize that I was, in fact, able to pick up multiple instances of the same objet.

The duplication seems to occur only when the game is reloading.

Here is the routine:

Enter the dam, go pick an item (ie a lantern)

Go outside

Enter the dam again (save)

Go outside

Quit the game

Resume the game, a new lantern is back

It should clear up under a new game. Previous version saves have different data than the updated system, so may have more bugs. Since the previous version(s) are only used once [i.e. deleted once you die], the main focus will likely be on prepping the next new changes and content since alpha mode will be ending and Story Mode is scheduled to start in just a couple of months [near end of this year].

yes, probably.

But I not quite sure the bug is new, because I entered the dam before (in v.258), and the multiple instances of the same object I found today seems to indicate that the duplication process was already there.

Small update:

I started a new game in v.264 to see if the issue is still happening with a fresh start and it does.

Most interesting, it seems to occurs only for few objects, and at least those 2:
