TLD community questionnaire

Greetings,  everyone!

The recent game awards got me thinking how excited other gamers get about them and how I can never relate because, even though there's a lot of truly great games out there, I don't have a very diverse library. I have my tiny little pile of games I hold dear and play over and over again. I rarely get into something new and it's usually rather small games.

So I present to you my own categories so we can find out which places our beloved Long Dark would fall on and what other games the TLD fans enjoy

Proposed categories:

1. Most played games (h)

2. Best lore, plot

3. Games I wish to forget just so I can play them again

4. My go-to games to unwind

5. Most esthetically pleasing games, best atmosphere

6. I crapped my pants playing these

7. Best storytelling

Okay, I think that's enough. I hope you find it interesting! Can't wait to see what all of you have to say

All of them except 3...  I've loved playing every second so I wouldn't want to forget anything..😊

Agree , also all this knowledge we accumulated is way too precious 😁

But there are games that can be played only once, the storytelling ones.

Very true😁

All my other games don't have story lines...except gtav but that's more online play only  for me anyway..

1. Most played games -- Zelda series (played from the beginning in 8-bit graphics) & The Sims series (including Castaway, Medieval)

2. Best lore, plot -- Zelda for lore, plot not so much (pretty much the same storyline played over and over), Slime Rancher

3. Games I wish to forget just so I can play them again -- The Long Dark (once you really know the maps, you can usually get out of a problem situation) -- Overcooked 2

4. My go-to games to unwind -- The Long Dark (Pilgrim) & UnRaveled

5. Most esthetically pleasing games, best atmosphere -- Zelda (newer games), The Long Dark -- Grounded & Slime Rancher are also very well done

6. I crapped my pants playing these -- Grounded

7. Best storytelling -- Zelda, Wintermute is very good too

*Note -- I don't consider myself a "gamer" in the sense that I play a lot of titles or try any genre, I'm pretty picky & very loyal

Suggestion for another question -- What game have you spent a TON of money on and have since regretted it? -- Disney Infinity

Same here! But once I'm sucked in nothing can pull me away

Nothing comes to mind. If the game is too pricey I wait for a sale.
