ajb1978 Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 I've been messing around in Nvidia Canvas lately, and this is one of the things I came up with. Seems appropriate here! It's both easy and tricky at the same time, since you don't have any direct control over what the AI generates, you have to kinda...do weird stuff sometimes. Like tell it to put water in the sky causes the clouds to darken, because apparently that makes sense to an AI. 3
k0s0ff Posted June 26, 2023 Posted June 26, 2023 beautifully. I got carried away too. But I forgot to share it. And a couple more under the impression, right now. 3 1
Hinterland Raphael van Lierop Posted November 21 Hinterland Posted November 21 Not going to police this thread too much, but I'd like to point you to today's brand and website update at hinterland.com, and in particular our statement in support of artists. Food for thought, perhaps? https://www.hinterland.com/about 8 1
Ghurcb Posted November 22 Posted November 22 Yeah, the AI generated pictures were a nice toy at first. But now that some companies are using AI instead of paying actual artists, the whole thing became dystopian and depressing. Big props to Hinterland for supporting creatives and not falling for that grift. 1
Lohaan Posted November 25 Posted November 25 Ai art can be great. However, it has the tendency to creep in and totally dominate. It becomes an entity on its own that. Even when you post images that kind of resemble the game, it can evoke other imagery in your mind too which is totally removed from the game's actual aesthetic and overall atmosphere, which is arguably its biggest appeal. To be honest, Ai art becomes soulless and empty when you stare at it for too long.
