What Effects Getting A Torch From Fires

I don’t know if it’s rng or maybe the temp but I don’t know how to get decent torches out of fires

The max condition 9f a torch is 50 percent from a fire! Only if made from scratch are they 100 percent.

It's random, only if you're lucky will you get a long duration torch

Somebody was experimenting with character position to the fire. You know, when you pull out crappy torch, change the character position and try next. But I dont know if the position has any effect.
